And it certainly has depth – as a true diver’s watch, it’s water-resistant to 300 metres and is ideally equipped for any adventure – on land or underwater. The DS Action Diver is a favourite of Certina’s international fan club. The latest incarnation of this contemporary diver’s watch is particularly easy-going: dressed completely in black, it has a charming radiance. This is due in no small part to a generous coating of Super-LumiNova® on the hands and indexes, as well as on the markings of the unidirectional rotating bezel. The bezel’s matt black ceramic ring serves as a perfect background for the dive time scale, whose numerals have an added touch of lacquer. A PVD coating gives the 43-mm stainless steel case its perfectly matched black colour. Another clear link to the sea comes from the NATO-look black fabric strap made from #tide ocean material®. This sustainable material is made using plastic fished from the ocean, and has a pin buckle closure with black PVD coating.
The DS Action Diver feels right at home in the water – in a Swiss alpine lake, while training in a swimming pool or snorkelling in the tropics. It meets the demanding requirements of ISO standard 6425, which makes it official: it’s a true diver’s watch. Key dive watch features include the unidirectional rotating bezel, the screw-down and protected crown, and the screw-in case back. Together with Certina’s proven DS (Double Security) concept, the watch offers exceptional water resistance up to 300 metres.
