WOOLRICH FALL/WINTER 22 COLLECTION

Empowering life in the outdoors, Woolrich Fall/Winter 2022 collection will take you on a journey of authentic Americana, blended with the natural world and man’s technical innovations.

The first delivery, “Socially Outdoors”, presents an inclusive and interactive exploration of open spaces surrounded by nature. The synergy between multiple perspectives and people represents the route to reach new horizons and Woolrich wants to support this path through a constant dialogue between heritage and contemporary counterparts.

For the men’s collection, an outstanding example it’s the Heritage Terrain family, it includes the Overshirt and the Vest in a lightweight Taslan fabric with square quilting and a contrasting collar made of soft corduroy fabric. The Duster Work Jacket was renewed through the use of Eco Ramar, the evolution of Woolrich iconic fabric, made of organic cotton and recycled nylon. In the women’s collection wool plays an important role in the Alba Overshirt, mixed with an onion quilted crinkle nylon, in the Gentry Bomber, whose shape comes from the 80’s aesthetic, and in the Nadine 2in1 Coat, it’s bonded and features a detachable down vest. For both him and her, the Reversible Curly Fleece Jacket represents the perfect transitional piece, is made of wool fleece and silky nylon on the reverse to support multiple uses.

Commuting to the city has becoming a normality, the “Upstate Outsiders” delivery is dedicated to all those people of the world that are moving from natural environments to urban spaces and back. Upstate Outsiders are adaptive, they need clothing that provides comfort and protection at the same time, wherever they are. Men’s hero items are guided by the Upstate Wool Coat, made of double faced melton check wool and completely unlined. The Seam Sealed Parka’s construction makes it waterproof and extremely warm. For women’s everyday life the Latimore Coat is perfect thanks to the Primaloft insulation matched with the military cotton twill, while the Alsea Short Jacket gives freedom of movement and protection through the 90/10 down filling.

During the coldest winter weather, the “Lodge Creatures” cements its position in guaranteeing a feeling of warmth, at the mountain retreat where there is the opportunity to reset, reconnect with emotions and free the mind. Encouraging social values and taking the time for a conscious self-expression is what “new luxury” means. This final delivery answers the need for durability and versatility to enjoy both outdoor leisure and work. Performance is crucial in garments such as the Byrd Parka, made of the authentic Byrd Cloth fabric (water resistant cotton invented in 1934 and promoted by explorer Richard Byrd) with an oversized fit. The Sierra Printed Supreme Jacket where the micro ripstop material has a special ombre effect and the zipped pockets emphasise functionality. In womenswear, the Aliquippa Puffy Jacket and the Plunket are connecting style with comfort, the former one thanks to the light glossy nylon and the high stand collar, while the latter one with the combination of crinkle fabric and Manteco wool. Last but not least the Pertex Revolve line for men and women: completely waterproof and fully taped, the Mountain Jacket and the Harveys Parka are padded with recycled Primaloft and guarantee the highest level of protection from elements.

Alongside the three main narratives, Socially Outdoors, Upstate Outsiders and Lodge Creatures, the conversation between past and future is further explored. With the introduction of the Ski Capsule, we draw from the Woolrich archive and reinvent it in contemporary and purposeful fabrics. This is where technology and material research become priorities for performance and endurance.
