Palma de Mallorca is home to a unique light phenomenon known as “El Ocho”. This amazing spectacle takes place only twice a year, in February and November, in the majestic Cathedral of Mallorca. For a brief period of five minutes, a beam of light from the rising sun shines through the main rose window, creating a double rose window of glass and light on the end wall. The largest stained glass window in the Seu de Mallorca, consisting of 1,116 glass pieces, is illuminated in an explosion of color and creates a unique atmosphere.

2. “Nit de l’Art”: The night of art in Palma

The art season in Mallorca opens with the “Nit de l’Art”, an annual event that attracts thousands of people to the streets of Palma. Galleries and museums open their doors on this night to inaugurate exhibitions, making this night a must-see for professionals, art lovers and the general public. In addition to the fixed program, La Nit de l’Art surprises with improvised happenings that add a touch of fascination to the city’s art scene.

3. “TaPalma”: Culinary fiesta in the Mallorcan capital

Gastronomy is the focus of “TaPalma”, the largest culinary festival in Palma. This event aims to highlight the city’s hospitality industry and position Mallorca as a benchmark for Spanish gastronomy. For a few days, participating restaurants offer unique tastings that highlight the diversity and excellence of local cuisine.
