LG INTRODUCES THE WORLD’S FIRST TRANSPARENT OLED TV WITH ZERO CONNECT TECHNOLOGY

LG Electronics (LG) is introducing the SIGNATURE OLED T, the world’s first transparent 4K OLED television with Zero Connect technology, at CES 2024. The innovative combination of transparent OLED display and wireless video and audio transmission in the highest quality, as already known from LG’s OLED M series, offers customers new freedom when it comes to finding the right location for the TV and design living spaces according to your own preferences. Consequently, the new LG top model, whose image quality and performance is achieved, among other things, by the new α11 AI processor, was awarded five innovation awards at CES 2024 – including the coveted “Best of Innovation” award.

Free positioning for individual room design

Thanks to the LG SIGNATURE OLED T 4K, the days when home furnishings inevitably have to compete with a dominant black screen on the wall or in the room are over. When switched off, the transparent device is practically invisible despite its impressive size of 77 inches and contributes to a harmonious and open feeling of space. This gives users completely new options for positioning: Instead of on the wall, the OLED T can also be placed in the middle of the room as a room divider or on the window without blocking the view. Thanks to the included Zero Connect Box, which uses LG’s innovative wireless transmission technology for high-quality image and sound transmission with up to 4K resolution at 120 frames per second, the television can be placed almost anywhere – after all, there is no HDMI or HDMI connection required between the box and the TV other connection cables must be laid. All you need is a power cable.

More space, more entertainment, more atmosphere

The modular design of the LG OLED T 4K allows for various installation methods. The television is available both as a freestanding device and for wall mounting. Customers can additionally equip the screen with standing or floating shelves to adapt it to their individual needs.

In addition, the device offers its owners new forms of entertainment and use: with the Always-On Display function (AOD), for example, the OLED T becomes a transparent digital screen on which works of art, videos or photos can be presented. The content displayed appears to float in the air, creating a captivating atmospheric effect that would be impossible on traditional TVs. Another exciting option is the T-bar function. It shows news, weather information or the title of the currently playing song at the bottom of the screen, while the rest of the display offers a clear, unobstructed view of the space behind it.

On the other hand, if you want to use the full OLED power to watch TV, you can increase the contrast of the screen with just the push of a button. With the new α11 AI processor with four times the AI performance compared to its predecessor, owners of the LG SIGNATURE OLED T 4K can enjoy an outstanding image processor with 70 percent improved graphics performance and 30 percent faster processing speed.

“The LG SIGNATURE OLED T 4K is an incredible innovation, offering a brand new viewing experience paired with the picture quality and performance of our award-winning OLED technology,” said Park Hyoung-sei, President of LG Home Entertainment Company. “The transparent OLED display from LG gives customers more freedom in designing their living spaces and points the way to an exciting future for the television industry.” It is currently not clear whether and when the new LG SIGNATURE OLED T 4K will be available in Germany becomes.
