Hunter Sheridan – „The Moment’s in a Hurry“ + Exclusive Interview

1. Thank you very much for your time! Before we introduce your new release to our readers – what kind of drink would you recommend to zip on while they listen to your new music?

I would recommend listening to this song with a bottle of wine to share with someone in your life that you appreciate very much! Whether it is a new relationship, or your 30th anniversary, this song highlights the feeling of falling in love and was written to appreciate how special that is.

2. Please give us an update about – new single, new album, tour dates, new videos?!

I have a new album coming out in October! The album is called „Sleepwalk“ and will be released on all streaming platforms October 7th. Stay tuned for North American tour dates to follow.

3. We live in times of many conspiracy theories. Which, harmless, theory would you wish were true? (For example Dinos living inside Earth or E.T. living in a home in California)

That bigfoot is real! I think it would make a lot of people happy to discover their theory was correct, and it would be cool for an animal like that to be discovered 🙂

4. What fashion style or brand would best describe your music?

Warm fall jackets to stay cozy by a campfire.

5. Tell us more about your songs! Topics! Message!?

I like to write about personal experience, but I also enjoy pulling messages from storylines to try something different.

6. Beside music, do you have any special talents?

I love to skateboard and snowboard!

7. Name 5 things we all should know about you as an artist?!

1. I like to produce and write my own music, as well as a couple other projects I have in the works!

2. I used to teach music lessons and some of my favourite classes were teaching students how to write and record their own ideas.

3. I used to play in a band called West Hammock. We recorded a couple of albums, did some touring across Canada and I learned so much about the music industry and songwriting through those years.

4. I like to collaborate with producers in other genres. One of my latest releases, Northern Lights, was a collaboration with a pop-edm producer out of Toronto named Yeghia Kibalian.

5. I record most of my own material, then outsource it for professional mixing and mastering. This has allowed me to record on my own terms, and in unique places.

8. How did you learn to sing/ to write/ to play??

Mostly through trial and error. I love playing live shows, so in the early days I would get involved in as many of them as I could. I then worked full time performing various events and venues over a few years as an acoustic act, which required singing at shows 3-4 times a week. I think that experience, and the ability to constantly record and listen back to myself has really helped me progress as a singer and instrumentalist.

9. A question you’d like to answer, but never been asked in an interview before?! + Answer pls

What is the longest you’ve stood on one leg?

An hour and 15 minutes! It was part of a challenge to see who could stand on one leg the longest. I ended up winning after an hour and 15 minutes.
