If we were to ask you about your favourite brand, chances are that you already have them pictured in your head. From colour, logo, and other brand info, there is a reason why they are firmly positioned at the top. The same goes for many famous brands, and this is exactly the type of goal that all businesses aspire to. Having such brand and business recognition, cannot be expressed in money and is an invaluable asset to any aspiring venture.

So many naturally ask themselves, how do they get to achieve this? The most important thing to note is, that such a goal is not something that can be done overnight. Trust, recognition, and association with any brand and business come with time, dedicated effort and quality products. To help you along the way, we have a few tricks and tips on our sleeves.

1. First contact

You only get one chance to make a first impression, so it must stick to the landing. Colour, sound, design, logos, visual appeal and many others all play a vital role. Proper market research coupled with professional designers makes this magic happen. When faced with countless brands and logos daily, you want your customers to point at yours and say, „That’s the one!“ Consistency trump’s chance, so you want to follow up with your choices on all platforms that you make. Standing out in the crowd requires something unique amongst it. What does a mermaid have to do with coffee? Nothing, but we all know that’s Starbucks.

2. Brand activism

One example here could be Red Bull. Yes, it’s a popular energy drink, but they also host extreme games and activities. Which gains so much media coverage and attention that it is now synonymous with them. You can ask yourself the same. What activity, or event, can best be merged with my brand and business? Since you know your local market the best, the answer can come naturally for you. Maybe it is a tourist event, a local communal action, fashion shows, promotions, regional joined collaborative action or similar. If your imagination reaches beyond that, then you can always be daring and come up with your event.

3. Added value

If you have two choices, let us say two shops, which one will you enter? If one offers a slightly larger benefit, that’s the answer. A simple coupon, continuous discount for returning customers, referral discounts, nice bags made from quality bag manufacturers from Australia as a gift, social promotion, and countless others, can motivate your customers to come again and again. People love to feel appreciated and valued, so it is up to you to create such emotions and services. Creating an emotional connection is what creates recognizability and long-lasting relationships.

With that, you are also creating your customer base, which is something that you can always rely on. In an ever-changing world, having a constant in a business aspect can be an invaluable asset. Your customer base allows you to plan and predict your future growth and advancement. With every person added to it, you are that closer to having a steady inflow of information, finances and feedback.

4. A memorable customer service

This is often a painful subject to touch upon, but in recent years, it’s been proven to be the most fruitful one. Providing stellar and outstanding customer care and service is what separates the average from the best in the business. The act of selling means nothing to your future and current customers, if you are not there when they have questions, or need further assistance. Customer support offers that long-lasting relationship that forms with your consumer base and can be a valuable source of information. The feedback and suggestion about your products and be invaluable to pinpoint your weak and strong attributes. Customer support that is fast, responsive and on point is also your strategic tool that can differentiate your business from the competition. Those that ask questions and get ignored won’t come again and will leave dissatisfied. That’s where you get to shine, pitch in and take over.

5.  A dominating online presence

Is your business on the first page of Google? If not, then it does not exist, and that’s the harsh reality of our modern world. An active online presence that encourages customer reviews, stories and interactions can make or break any business. Creating a platform and environment in which your customers can do so can also be one more tool in your toolbelt. SEO optimisation, with a focus on keywords, metadata, and other seemingly invisible processes are what can put your place on the map.

Such activity is vast, time-consuming, and requires constant work, it is a good practice to hire, or outsource, it to an SEO professional firm that can take care of it. Since Google loves content, starting and maintaining a blog is also a good move. With it, you can start building that lasting relationship with your user base. Newsletter and posts on various social platforms also boost your presence and interactions. This field is a marathon and not a race, so you need to do this day in and day out to get results.

6. Ironclad guarantee

Few things can calm and persuade those customers on the edge as a guarantee. Claim that you will be there to service, support and replace their products and decisions along the road will only infuse them with confidence about their choice. We all want to get positive affirmation when making any decision, so amplifying that and making sure that they made the right one while removing any negatives help in assuring your users that they are in the right place.

While taking all of this info, and any other that’s related, can seem daunting at first, the most important step to take is to get started. Your business can only grow with every positive change you make. One by one and bit by bit, you will be able to see the fruits of your labour. Soon enough, your business will follow the positive changes you made. We wish you all the best in your future endeavour.
