It is a sentiment that liberates, that drives, that overwhelms and that expands with each new goal, motivating the constant striving for excellence and for elegance: in design, in performance, in aesthetics and in innovation.
And it is this very desire that drives the Creative Director Rocco Iannone towards a new dimension of complex simplification and pure sublimation. Because he knows that feelings, even before objects, guide the path of emotion, evolution and elevation of a collection that exudes all of Ferrari’s allure and power through fashion.
The brand’s style codes – racing, workwear, and tailoring – are filtered, synthesised and amplified to put the body at the absolute centre of the scene, exalting its beauty and sensuality through the essence of form, colour and material.
Iannone de-saturates to emphasise, reduces to accentuate, and then reiterates to identify. Silhouettes are shortened, lengthened and widened through curved lines, rounded sleeves, anatomical cuts and exaggerated volumes. Between skin tightness and voluptuous proportions, a new language of the body is born – the very symbol and expression of that desire.
The palette produces a continuous crescendo of colour layering.
Dazzling white opens the show with the lightness and suppleness of “cloud” napa leather, animated also by ‘check 7X7’ quilting – repeated throughout the entire collection as a distinctive and instantly recognisable motif of Ferrari style. Flesh tone leather features camouflage perforations, which only upon a closer look reveals the Prancing Horse logo, as well as the fine, transparent knitwear, wrapped around the body like a cocoon of gauze.
Experimental denim explores the most sophisticated washes, presenting plays of vertical discolorations that bring out the wealth of its textures. Navy blue introduces the draping of technical wool with an ultra-luxurious hand, while the powder blue nuances appear in the cabled knitwear and in the tactile, silky froissé nylon.
The rich, bright shade of amber accompanies the transition from day to evening, enriching a new surface of silk woven with metal fibres. Lastly, Ferrari red in all of its energy and iconic charge, for a high impact finale dominated by the magnetic lustre of patent leather.
