1. Thank you very much for your time! Before we introduce your new release to our readers – what kind of drink would you recommend to zip on while they listen to your new music?
I’d personally go with something fairly zingy like a Vodka Lime and Soda (AKA a Skinny Bitch).
2. Please give us an update about – new single, new album, tour dates, new videos?!
Where to start…Our new single ‚The Real Thing’ has been out a week now and is the first offering from our second LP ‘Make it Up’ due for release on the 14th June. We’re also off on tour with Australia’s The Psychedelic Porn Crumpets across UK and Europe including shows in Munich, Cologne and Hamburg. That’ll naturally be followed with some headline shows of our own and hopefully a busy, sleepless festival season. Video-wise we’ve just released the Real Thing’s accompanying wind-fuelled video, and plan to shoot a follow up for the album’s second single out on the road. Don’t be surprised to see the tranquil icy pastures of Central Europe featured…
3. Name 5 things we all should know about you as a band?!
– On average we are the tallest band in the uk
– Most of our songs use only two chords so they are extremely easy to play
– We’ve spent most of the time as a band living together, sometimes sharing rooms. It’s help inspire a communal spirit inside the group, that and a lot of backstabbing, moaning and spite
– Every member of the band is an ex drummer which makes for a racket in the studio
– We have a covers band called the Pintmen that are available to hire, but only for the right price
4. What fashion style or brand would best describe your music?
Our music is for all weathers and all seasons so with that I’d say we are a trousers band, likely denim. Never above the knee and slightly baggy, we like to keep it a bit loose.
5. We live in times of many conspiracy theories. Which, harmless, theory would you wish were true? (For example Dinos living inside Earth or E.T. living in a home in California)
We live in times of many conspiracy theories. Which, harmless, theory would you wish were true? (For example Dinos living inside Earth or E.T. living in a home in California) The birds aren’t real one is pretty harmless. Allegedly birds are surveillance drones planted by the government to spy on us and that bird carcasses you see on the ground are props planted to reinforce our belief in birds. We’ve been stripped of our data privacy these days anyway so at least birds gathering information about us is fun and elaborate.
6. If you could change anything about the industry, what would it be?
Bit of a rogue one but I would love to see more up and coming smaller bands and artists on indie labels collaborate with each other and feature on each others tracks more. It happens all the time with pop and hip hop so why can’t it happen with bands? Amyl and the Sniffers and Viagra Boys have done it before, why can’t it happen with Dry Cleaning and Getdown Services?
7. Tell us more about your songs! Topics! Message!?
I try to focus in on a small interaction or situation when I’m writing and blow it up . Taking a small phrase for example and then doing the colouring in around it with verses and the likes, until a it works as a whole song. I’ve found pulling from the smaller nuances of everyday life allows the music to apply to more people. If you can write something that resonates with lots of different people but that still feels unique, then your bang on the money.

One that I believe to be quite obvious but don’t think we’ve ever been asked is what would you all be doing if you weren’t in the band…If I were to take a punt at it
