Connor Roff shares „Lover, You Should’ve Come Over“ + Exclusive Interview

Hello, thank you for your time, please introduce yourself in a few words!

Hi, my name is Connor, I’m a singer-songwriter currently based in Vancouver and a bit of a Canadian UK sandwich having split my time in both places. I spend most of my days writing, recording and performing music, practicing and teaching yoga and exploring nature. I identify as a gay man and use pronouns he/him.

Please give us an update about – new single, new album, tour dates, new videos?!

Next single and cover: „Lover, You Should Have Come Over“ (originally by Jeff Buckley)

Name 5 things we all should know about you as an artist?!

I’m infatuated by love songs right now.

I want to add to the growing alternative and more indie oriented LGBT+ music scene.

I write from the heart.

I love old school artists such as Fleetwood Mac, Joni Mitchell and Tom Petty.

I spend too much time creating covers on tiktok.

What fashion style or brand would best describe your music?

Oak and Fort or Patagonia. Something outdoors and/or eco friendly that can combine smart with functional.

Do you have bad habits? A guilty pleasure you can’t seem to quit?

Coffee addict – can’t and won’t quit. We love the caffeine.

Beside music, do you have any special talents?

Well, it feels odd to call it a talent, but I do love everything yoga oriented – asana, breathwork, meditation, philosophy. So much so that I teach it regularly each week and work out of different studios here in Vancouver right now. It’s a beautiful practice that has fundamentally changed my life.

Being on stage feels like….!

Being both terrified and ecstatic at the same time.

Must Have – and No-Go in your Wardrobe! – Favorite Fashion Brand and Fragrance?

Must have baggy jumpers and no go on the vest department. Probably something eco-friendly and/or outdoors focused such as Patagonia or North Face. Fragrance: Something pine or beach oriented, but NOT American Eagle (you know the smell.) 😛

A question you’d like to answer, but never been asked in an interview before?! + Answer pls

What inspires you on a day-to-day basis, music oriented or otherwise?

Quite frankly, it’s being able to inspire and share experiences with other people. Whether that be through music, love or movement and making sure I incorporate all of those things into my everyday life. I wouldn’t be whole without it.
