AMAN LE MÉLÉZIN OPENS FOR THE WINTER SEASON

With the arrival of winter and its snow-covered landscape, the well-known Alpine hotel Aman Le Mélézin will welcome its guests again from December 8, 2023. In its spectacular location, the sought-after heart of Les Trois Vallées, just moments from Courchevel 1850, it offers France’s best all-round skiing experience. The hotel, located in the renowned ski resort, is also a destination for culinary and wellness. A variety of new offers and unique experiences are offered that bring the hotel’s beautiful location and exceptional facilities to life.

Unforgettable experiences

With mountain adventures for all ages – whether sledding down to Courchevel Village or taking a relaxing hot air balloon or helicopter ride – the resort offers exclusive adventures in the region. New this season: Guests have the opportunity to take a snowmobile or horse-drawn carriage through the snowy landscape to Les Prés de la Croix at dusk. A traditional Savoyard dinner with cheese fondue or stew awaits you there by the crackling fire in a picture-perfect mountain chalet. On Friday evenings you can also order a five-course menu created by a private chef. The children can play on the mezzanine of the chalet or toboggan under the stars before heading back to La Tania by sleigh or snowbike. The car transfer will then take place back to the hotel.

Aman Le Mélézin also offers unique, exciting outdoor experiences that offer even the most advanced skiers a new way to enjoy the snow. A highlight for every guest: moon biking. It offers an off-piste adventure through the snowy mountain slopes of Pralong Farm on ultralight electric snow bikes. As an alternative to snowmobiling, moonbiking offers an exciting way to enjoy winter outdoor activities and experience the surrounding landscapes in peace and quiet.

The exciting First Tracks adventure, which was hugely popular last season, is returning this winter. An experienced ski instructor takes guests to the highest point of the valley, where the panorama of Mont Blanc and La Grande Casse awaits them. Skiers can then embark on a breathtaking solo descent on „La Combe de la Saulire“, a legendary ski slope where the fresh snow is protected from strong winds all year round, allowing for a beautiful untouched descent down the mountainside.

Experience the happiness of the Alps, the splendor of freshly fallen snow and the classic traditions of the most beautiful French castles with the new ski and spa escape until April 7th. The exclusive five-night experience includes daily breakfast, lunch or dinner and either a Les Trois Vallées ski pass or spa services such as a daily 30-minute yoga session, a 50-minute holistic massage and a 30-minute Iyashi Dôme treatment.

Culinary journeys of discovery

This winter, Aman Le Mélézin has introduced new gourmet and dining options that complement the surrounding fairytale snowy landscapes. After a wonderful time on the slopes, you can relax in front of a crackling log fire in the cozy library or the oak-paneled lounge. Enjoy a goûter and an exclusive cocktail from the new menu put together by the in-house mixologist. Goûter means „to taste“ and is a traditional French afternoon refreshment that also includes sweet waffles and crepes. New this season are the Fireside Delights. On the expansive outdoor terrace, overlooking the ski slopes, groups of all sizes can enjoy the new experience and relax with a selection of fresh fruits and marshmallows roasted on an open fire and dipped in homemade melted chocolate. The perfect sweet treat after a day on the slopes.

The Japanese restaurant Nama, the house’s calling card, celebrates the Japanese Washoku tradition with authentic, uncomplicated and elegant dishes using only the world’s best products. The new Omakase concept introduces a new gourmet concept where guests can enjoy a multi-course meal of fresh sushi and sashimi such as Wagyu Tataki and Chef’s Choice Grilled Salmon Shake. Omakase means “I leave it to you” and is the Japanese tradition of entrusting the order to the chef. This gives him full creative freedom to put together the menu based on the ingredients purchased that day.

Optimization of well-being

As a renowned wellness retreat in the Alps, two entire floors of the house are dedicated to well-being. The holistic Aman Spa offers a range of therapeutic and restorative treatments to prepare for or recover from an active day. This winter season, the spa at Aman Le Mélézin welcomes Dr. John Sanchez, a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) doctor with over a decade of experience. Dr. Sanchez will offer a range of TCM treatments and mindful movement classes designed to rebalance and rejuvenate the body and mind. He will also offer multi-day treatments with Taoist medicine. Treatments range from 60-minute acupuncture, deep tissue massage and reflexology to acu laser and magnetic therapy. The movement courses include Yin Yoga, Tai Chi, Qi Gong and that of Dr. Sanchez developed Animal Flow. The multi-day Taoist Medicine Journeys focus on either recovery and conditioning or mindfulness and energy balancing. They include an initial consultation, followed by four personalized sessions aimed at both the symptoms and causes of specific complaints.

Those who want to focus on their health in 2024 are in particularly good hands this season. The Aman Advanced Facial is a rejuvenating treatment at Aman Le Mélézin. Featuring Aman’s latest skincare collection, Essential Skin, it combines effective Japanese-made formulas with exfoliation and manual lifting techniques. These help to stimulate the facial muscles and achieve firmer, more radiant skin. The treatment begins with an ultrasonic peel to loosen and remove oil, dirt and cell debris from the pores. The treatment is supported by the use of microcurrent stimulation and massage for firming, as well as cryobulbs to eliminate swelling and promote a gentle glow. Red and blue light therapy follows before the treatment is completed with the application of the Aman Nourishing Gold Algae Face Mask to achieve an exceptional glow. The facial can be extended to 90 minutes and includes a longer scalp massage, a facial massage and a hydra-active mineral mask that increases the skin’s moisture levels.

New this winter season is the large yoga studio, equipped with Aman yoga accessories and complemented by state-of-the-art TRX equipment, a gym, relaxation lounge and extensive hydrotherapy areas. These include a 14-meter indoor lap pool, experience showers, a cold plunge pool and a sauna.

Whether for winter sports lovers or those who simply want to experience the magical wonderland of Aman Le Mélézin and its pampering spa, an enchanting selection of activities awaits you.
