Zalando, a leading online destination for fashion and lifestyle in Europe, and ASPESI, an Italian heritage brand known for timeless classics, are launching a jointly designed capsule collection called “Cinema Club” as a tribute to Italian cinema. The collection is inspired by ASPESI’s heritage and Zalando’s modern perspective on luxury. The 16-piece capsule collection, produced in Italy, is a reinterpretation of classic ASPESI designs. All styles express the brands‘ core values and include unisex shirts, T-shirts as well as bomber jackets and cargo pants made from cotton and modern materials such as nylon.
The collaboration is a love letter to Italian cinema and is based on the idea of reinterpreting the “Golden Age” of cinema for a younger generation. Selected pieces are embroidered with motifs of well-known scenes from masterpieces by Italian directors. By depicting film scenes, the different styles tell the stories of well-known Italian films and allow fashion lovers to express their personality and passion for Italian cinematography. In the campaign for the collection, the young Italian actors Coco Rebecca Edogamhe and Mattia Carrano take on the role of actor and director.
