Wrangler x Sandro

Throughout the seasons, the SANDRO Men design studio likes to explore the aesthetic codes of its youth. Lulled iconic western films of the late 60’s, SANDRO’s creative teams were eager to celebrate WRANGLER’s heritage, and reinterpret 70’s archive models of the singular WRANGLER aesthetic.

Ten pieces make up the collection. Inspired by 70’s cowboy looks, three jacket-trouser sets express WRANGLER’s signature codes: flat rivets, flap seams, W-shaped pocket topstitching, WRANGLER branded leather labels, and a fifth trouser pocket. The first set is designed in brown wool polyester. The other two outfits are in faded denim with different shades of indigo. Finally, two sweatshirts and two cotton T-shirts complete the collection. They are available in black and beige, and feature an embroidered WRANGLER rainbow logo.

For WRANGLER and SANDRO, it was essential to incorporate sustainable design choices in each piece of this capsule collection. For example, the tobacco polyester wool jacket-trousers ensemble was developed using 50% recycled polyester, promoting a circular production process and limiting environmental impact. The denim washes were analyzed with a third-party EIM (Environmental Impact Measurement) tool, which monitors the environmental impact of denim garment washing and finishing processes in terms of water and energy consumption, use

of chemicals, and impact on people. The processes for the washed garments were calculated as having «Low Impact» status under this assessment system. Finally, the cotton jersey pieces are made from organic cotton (cotton grown without using synthetic chemicals either
as pesticides or as growth promoters, thereby supporting biodiversity and biological cycles).

Conceived by the SANDRO Men design studio, this capsule collection is intended to be versatile for both men and women. This fluidity of genres and style porosity is the very essence of SANDRO, where the Women and Men studios take pleasure in creating pieces that can be worn indifferently by all genders.
