1. Hello, thank you for your time, please introduce yourself in a few words!
I’m Harry AKA Waiting for Smith. Named after waiting for my original drummer, Smith, to turn up on time. I make acoustic lead electronic pop…or Indie Folk. My goal is to make people feel good, supported and question why we’re here.
2. Please give us an update about – new single, new album, tour dates, new videos?!
I’m releasing my first EP called “Hopelessness of Love” this July 9th 2021.
The title track is already out “Hopelessness of Love” and it sums up what it’s all about…the challenges love brings and how to find yourself and communicate within a relationship. Every track will be out first as a single up until July 9th.
There’ll be a new music video out with it too. I’ll be playing a few festivals this summer like Latitude (UK)…Info will appear on Instagram @waitingforsmith.
3. Name 5 things we all should know about you as an artist?!
1. I write a new song pretty much every other day but I can’t read music.
2. I like to be as various as possible to express all my sides.
3. I’m completely ADHD but also can be very calm.
4. I broke my back, died, came back to life and realised music was my passion.
5. JJ Cale is my hero.
4. What fashion style or brand would best describe your music?
It depends on the track of that moment. As the music changes, so does the brand. At the moment I wear lots if Scotch and Soda, Sandro, Denham, Goosecraft that I mix with some vintage items.
5. Do you have bad habits? A guilty pleasure you can’t seem to quit?
pizza…but actually great pizza with proper sourdough base, buffalo mozzarella and san marzano tomato sauce is great for the soul
6. Beside music, do you have any special talents?
I’m pretty handy with a diabolo. I once wanted to join the circus.
7. Being on stage feels like….!
You’re truly alive. You can hear your heart, you feel your skin and when it’s going well you are almost floating.
8. Must Have – and No-Go in your Wardrobe! – Favorite Fashion Brand and Fragrance?
Fluffy bucket hat. Generally not into shorts unless i’m swimming, running or it’s 40 degrees. Favourite fashion brand at the moment would be Scotch and Soda as the clothes feel like they just hug you…my favourite fragrance to wear would be me….although Molecule Perfume on others is unbelievable I swear it makes you attracted to everyone.
