VelvetNoise – „Number Ones“ + Exclusive Interview

1. Hello, thank you for your time, please introduce yourself in a few words!

I am Peter Bársony-Németh from Budapest, Hungary. I am working basically like a local promoter, organising concerts and cultural events. Music was always the most important thing in my life, and after a few years break I do my own music again. Hell yeah!

2. Please give us an update about – new single, new album, tour dates, new videos?!

I made an album with my dear friend, Ambrus Tövisházi, who was my producer in the process of recording. It’s called MindfulMess and it will be realesed On december. From this album the first single with a videoclip is out now. This is ‘Number Ones’.

3. Name 5 things we all should know about you as an artist?!

– I want be colourful in my music

– alt-art-pop is kinda indie pop I play
– VelvetNoise is from my name (Bársony is velvet in hungarian)
– I create my own songs on my own with lyrics but on the stage and in the studio we do things together with fantastic friends.

– MindfulMess is the best therapy and it’s not too expensive

4. What fashion style or brand would best describe your music?

I love the second-hand vintage clothes mixing with uniqe pieces of local designers. Enviromental awareness is an important point of view and also a great possibility to be creative in fashion.

5. Tell us more about your songs! Topics! Message!?

I think instead of a message, questions are more useful to ask like an artist: how can be conscious in this post-modern reality? I mean how can we treat the thousands of problems around us in the same time? And there are always more and more about the future of this planet for example. ‘Number Ones’ is a personal and very intimate song for me. Here is an  answer for the question- which love is the number one? Listen and watch the videoclip and you will know the answer.:)

6. Beside music, do you have any special talents?

Yes, I am very smart and I am good in everything basically… So no, not really.:)

7. Being on stage feels like….!

Being free, freer than anywhere else.

8. How did you learn to sing/ to write/ to play??

I learnt playing piano in music school for 7 years, but singing, songwriting, producering were an absolutely DIY process. I mostly like to learn by myself. If you can discover new things on your own it helps discovering yourself too.

9. A question you’d like to answer, but never been asked in an interview before?! + Answer pls
