TOMMY HILFIGER PRESENTS TOMMY JEANS Collection

Tommy Hilfiger presents the new TOMMY JEANS Remastered collection, celebrating the 50th anniversary of hip-hop and TOMMY HILFIGER’s deep-rooted connection to the cultural movement. The past meets the future in a capsule that offers a modernized selection of the most culture-shaping legacy styles from the archives. The campaign announces a long-term partnership with British rapper and future voice of hip-hop, Central Cee, and GRAMMY® nominated American rapper GloRilla.

“An iconic anniversary calls for an iconic capsule.” said Tommy Hilfiger. “With this collection we celebrate moments in style that defined the ‘90s hip-hop look and rework them for today. I am so excited to work with Central Cee and GloRilla – two modern icons who are bringing the culture’s fearless creativity to the next generation.”

The 17-piece TOMMY JEANS Remastered collection features relaxed, baggy fits and creative re-interpretations of iconic TOMMY HILFIGER design motifs. Hero pieces include a revival of the striped rugby jersey made famous by the legendary Snoop Dog on his 1994 “Saturday Night Live” appearance. A rugged “Big Logo” puffer, as worn by artists including Aaliyah and Raekwon, is remixed with the red, white, and blue Tommy flag becoming a contemporary monochrome black and gray. The versatile cropped leather biker jacket brings back one of the style staples of Y2K icons TLC. The large logos and bright colors of sailing take the limelight in the nautical inspired Chicago windbreaker. Statement pieces in relaxed fits include the leather preppy varsity jacket with a red, white and black twist, the Air Force-style boxy cropped nylon jacket, and the black denim baggy cargo pants. The number 85 – the birth year of the brand – is spotlighted in the oversized archive football jersey tee recently worn by Central Cee during his “On The Radar” performance, as well as the super heavyweight knit hoodie, and relaxed vintage wash premium tee.

Captured by Lea Winkler, the campaign features Central Cee and GloRilla in portraits echoing golden age of hip-hop photography. The elevated and minimalist aesthetic ensures the artists command the centerstage spotlighting their creative expression. Championing and connecting with the voices of tomorrow, the visuals also introduce the digitally animated 3D hip-hop duo Ghost Kidz, part of an extended partnership with global entertainment company Superplastic. The character Lil’ ILL appears in the TOMMY JEANS Remastered archive flag jacket in iconic red, white and blue, and Filth-E in the black archive football jersey tee.

As a brand shaped by and rooted in hip-hop, TOMMY JEANS celebrates the 50th anniversary of the culture with the drops of the Remastered collection, as well as Tommy x Avirex on November 2nd. The partnership with Avirex marks a release of iconic outerwear as the two legends join together to drop a limited-edition collab honoring hip-hop’s latest and greatest.

The collection will be available starting on November 6, 2023, on tommy.com, at select Tommy Jeans stores and through select wholesale partners. Join the TOMMY JEANS community on social media via @TommyJeans and #TommyJeans.
