The Rice Society: NEW COLORWAYS

With the founding of THE RICE SOCIETY in 2012, the vision of a sneaker brand was born that stands for real innovation, absolute transparency and stylish design. Eleven years later, the now PETA-certified company presents a carefully curated but diverse portfolio made of 100% vegan and recycled materials.

Instead of common sustainable ingredients, THE RICE SOCIETY has relied on unusual (raw) materials with high robustness right from the start: The unique rice chaff that can be found in every sneaker sole of the label comes from a paella rice plantation just 40 kilometers away The in-house production facility is located in Elche, Spain. In addition to rice chaff, only corn and apple waste, GOTS certified organic cotton and recycled materials are used for the handmade sneakers.

From December, the classic OPEN21 will be available in three new color variants. This edition stands for comfort, sustainability and style. The color palette for the collection is inspired by the soft earth tones of brown, green and black. There is also an update in the composition of the sneakers, as innovative materials such as cactus leather and vegan suede are used for the new models.
