1. Thank you very much for your time! Before we introduce your new release to our readers – what kind of drink would you recommend to zip on while they listen to your new music?
Thanks so much for having us! We are always down for a vodka/soda with lyme, so maybe a shot of that before our travelers start to teleport to our music would be fun!
2. Please give us an update about – new single, new album, tour dates, new videos?!
We are so excited to announce that our new album „Better Together“ will be released sometime later this year! Once we have an official date we will share it with you guys! Our latest single/video release is „Disco“ and it was dropped on July 1st, 2022, please check it out! We are working on putting together some shows this year, but we have been focusing on putting out more music and content for our listeners. We definitely have new videos coming for our travelers! We are going to be releasing a music video for each single on the album (12 songs) and more LTTT. (Letter To The Travelers) (Letter To The Travelers Vol. 1) which took place before „Disco“ (Telaport-Disco-Official Music Video) was dropped to our youtube channel (Letter To The Travelers Vol. 1) and takes place after „Don’t Wait“ (Telaport-Don’t Wait- Official Music Video).
3. Name 5 things we all should know about you as a band?!
5- We never sleep- literally- always up writing and creating new music! Some may even call us vampires haha!
4. What fashion style or brand would best describe your music?
We have a very cyber punk/post apocalyptic style. Sometimes futuristic depending on what timeline we land on. We love the 80’s, our sound and vibe is sort of based off of that time and we get a lot of our fashion influence from movies released during that time period! Of course we love Nike, but Ye has got to be one of our favorites. Ye has a very apocalyptic type of style and we both vibe with that for sure. Yeezy all the way!!
5. What’s your songwriting process?
The process of writing a song just varies on how it begins to be honest. We may have a beat that we made and get inspired by the music and just write what we feel and it becomes a song, and sometimes we come up with beats and melodics/lyrics in our heads and turn it into something. That is probably one of our favorite things as a band, is to watch the song come together. Generally, it is a pretty fast process for us to put words to it. Maybe takes 20 minutes! I think we have an idea that we are already rolling with and are following the storyline for Telaport with each track, so it makes it easy!
6. If you could change anything about the industry, what would it be?
I think if we could change anything about the industry, it would be the (standards), what we mean by that is it’s so hard for an underground artist/band like ourselves to be seen and heard globally, because the standard of getting to that particular platform is that you already have to have a huge platform to begin with. So it makes it harder to hit that next level. We keep pushing forward regardless and just hope that one day we can have millions of travelers teleporting with us around the world. Hopefully someone sees this haha! We think social media is constantly changing the ways of the music industry, so we are hopeful that it can bring more opportunities to artists that are just starting their careers, and can maybe go viral on tiktok the next day after posting something. You never know!
7. Tell us more about your songs! Topics! Message!?
Our „Better Together“ album consists of 12 songs and the overall message is just being free and waking up spiritually/mentally. We love scifi, time traveling, movies and film- and we feel like this album really consists of songs that tell a message of what is going on with the world right now with all the craziness and how it makes us feel. We talk about invasions to the human subconscious, aliens coming to save us, and much more. Have your tinfoil hats on and ready before you hit the play! We are excited to take our listeners on this journey with us and hope that our music can help people through a hard time, teleporting them to another place, escaping life for a brief moment.
8. A question you’d like to answer, but never been asked in an interview before?! + Answer pls
I think for us no one has ever asked us „Why“ we make music, or what our motive is. We both have always been sort of different as individuals, never feeling like we truly fit into one crowd or another, and we hope that by putting out music we can help people that are like us not feel so alone. Just a message in general that it’s ok not to meet the standards of what society expects and just to live your life in the moment, to be free. If we can share that message with the world, that would be the motive and will continue to be.
