1. Thank you very much for your time! Before we introduce your new release to our readers – what kind of drink would you recommend to zip on while they listen to your new music?
This is a great opening question haha! Im gonna go with a cold bottle of sagres lager as I was drinking them on there writing trip that a few these songs came from! Either that or red wine…
2. Please give us an update about – new single, new album, tour dates, new videos?!
So I’ve just released my second EP called ‘Getting it all wrong’ which id love people to go check out! Aside from that I have my first ever EU headline show on 20th November in Utrecht at Tivolivredenberg which im soo excited about!
3. We live in times of many conspiracy theories. Which, harmless, theory would you wish were true? (For example Dinos living inside Earth or E.T. living in a home in California)
I don’t know too many conspiracy theories other than the main ones.. But I’ll go for Bigfoot.. I won’t be surprised if were find something crazy out there like that!
4. What fashion style or brand would best describe your music?
This is a hard question! (But a good one again) Im gonna go with ‘Stance’. I feel like they merge a quite organic/natural style with something a little more edgy and bold which is how I like to think of my music. Also they make great socks.
5. Tell us more about your songs! Topics! Message!?
Always a hard question to answer! I wouldn’t say my music is particularly consistent thematically. I find myself inspired most by every day life and people. A lot of my songs are about the simplest situation and then I expand on that idea when I’m writing.
6. Beside music, do you have any special talents?
I wouldn’t say anything particularly ‘special’ haha! But I’ve always been good at sports. Mainly football and I love to surf and box also. Im not a bad cook either but aside from that I’ve got nothing im afraid!
7. Name 5 things we all should know about you as an artist?!
– Im always honest in my lyrics. Wether it’s about myself or in an observational way. I don’t see the point with that!
– My favourite thing about being an artist is touring/playing live in any capacity – I love it more than anything!
– I was always the guitarist growing up and never the singer! I didn’t actually try singing until I was around 20 years old.
– The most important part of any song to me is the lyrics.. Im obsessed with lyrics and meaning.
– I sometimes use lines from texts from my friends/family in songs as lyrics and don’t tell them! I always wonder if they notice..
8. How did you learn to sing/ to write/ to play??
I started playing guitar and drums when I was about 12.. mainly because I wanted to be able to play Nirvana and Oasis songs! As soon as I picked up a guitar it felt natural to come up with little ideas and melodies. I think it was the first time I felt like I had an outlet for a bunch of creative energy that I didn’t really realise I had!
9. A question you’d like to answer, but never been asked in an interview before?! + Answer pls
– Q: I’ve never been asked what my favorite lyric from a song is! Always expect it but it never comes..
– A: On my last night on earth, I won’t look to the sky
