Slopes – „Puppet Master“ + Exclusive Interview

1. Thank you very much for your time. Before we introduce you to our readers – what kind of drink would you recommend while listening to your new music?

Something bittersweet, maybe an Aperol Spritz?

2. Can you give us more insight into your new single and future plans musically speaking?

I’m obsessed with simplicity these days. In a way I feel as if I’m chasing the perfect song, and I know I’ll never succeed, but maybe I’lø get close one day. Just a simple piano backing with an amazing topline (lyrics + melody). That’s sort of the idea with Puppet Master. Simple, honest, it is what it is.

When it comes to my future plans, I just plan on diving deeper into the melancholic world I’m already in. I wanna write songs where you can feel the pain and the joy at the same time!

3. We live in times of many conspiracy theories. Which harmless theory would you wish to be true?

I heard someone say that Harry styles has a secret relationship with Louis Tomlinson, I definitely hope that’s true.

4. What fashion style or brand would best describe your music?

Gorpcore! I love how outdoor wear has become a part of the mainstream fashion trend. Bring it on!

5. What is the message of your latest track “Puppet Master”?

It’s about being hooked on a poisonous relationship, and if there is a message, I guess that would be along the lines of: “Get the hell out of relationships where you lose track of who you are”.

6. Besides making music, do you have any special talents?

Haha no, but I love to debate politics. Give me a glass of wine and I can go for hours.

7. Name 5 things we all should know about you as an artist?

I’m trying to write music that’s happy and sad at the same time. I’m part of the producer duo Skinny Days. I’m inspired by the Norwegian nature. Slopes came to be because I had written songs for other artists for a long time, and I felt as if I had something to express myself. I’m dying to play more live.

8. How did you learn how to sing, write & play music?

My dad taught me to play the guitar, and from there on there was no stopping me. I started playing in a band, spent my afternoons rehearsing guitar in my bedroom and started dreaming of making a living as a full time musician.

9. What is a question you’d like to answer, but you have never been asked in an interview before?

I don’t really have an answer to this! I’m just happy to be able to talk about my music and my journey to anyone who wants to listen <3
