Sam Fischer – „Hopeless Romantic“ + Exclusive Interview

1. Thank you very much for your time! Before we introduce your new release to our readers – what kind of drink would you recommend to sip on while they listen to your new music?

Lord something strong, this shit can get heavy. I’m normally an Old Fashioned guy, it appears sweet but packs a punch, burns but then warms the soul, describes my music pretty well I think.

2. Please give us an update about – your new single, new videos, new album, tour dates?!

I’ve just released my new single Hopeless Romantic and it’s kind of the introduction into the world of the album which is I’d say is a strong 84% done and as far as tour dates go they’re all being worked out now, I’ve just finished my UK tour, touring the US in January and then the plan is the rest of the world next year!! Catching up on lost time during the pandemic, I can’t wait to see everyone.

3. We live in times of many conspiracy theories. Which, harmless, theory would you wish were true? (For example Dinos living inside Earth or E.T. living in a home in California)

Probably that Tom’s house was broken into, He confronted the burglar and then had to go have eye surgery. And then my son had to go over and help. And then my son, he rolled his car five times on the way home.

4. What fashion style or brand would best describe your music?

I’d say it’s like a cross between Justin and Britney all denim at the 2001 American Music Awards and modern day chic London streetwear.

5. Tell us more about your songs! Topics! Message!?

They’re my inner monologue in song form, a lot of what I would normally struggle to say to myself and to those the songs are about, out loud. The success of This City taught me that maybe when I feel alone in a feeling, millions of people might as well, so when I write about those feelings, it becomes a safe place for all of us to feel what we’re feeling together and less alone.

6. Beside music, do you have any special talents?

’m aggressively good at Mario Tennis on the Switch and with a little liquid courage, can do a backflip, other than that, music is it.

7. Being on stage feels like….!

like all the best parts of free falling. I am my most free, confident, sexy, funny, hottest self on stage. One of my favorite feelings in the world.

8. How did you learn to sing/ to write/ to play??

I honestly don’t know. That sounds so arrogant but I started singing because it felt good doing it, even before I knew what I was doing. I started writing because my parents wouldn’t buy me another album, they said I had to learn all the songs on the Human Nature album they’d bought me, so I decided I would write my own songs and listen to them and it kind of spiraled into my life now. Music just made me happy so any way I could get involved, singing, playing, writing, listening, dancing, whatever I could do I did.

9. A question you’d like to answer, but never been asked in an interview before?! + Answer pls

Answer: … well… *sips tea*
