SALVATORE FERRAGAMO – MULTICOLOR EYEWEAR CAPSULE

In a range of seven vibrant hues and neon brights, Ferragamo’s new sunglasses are without equal: genderless colour-block models with over-sized, rectangular, transparent frames that are a throw-back to the playfulness and bold personality of 80’s accessories. Including bright pink, green, pale blue and yellow, the colour palette also recalls the fashion house’s iconic Rainbow shoe.

It’s no coincidence that Ferragamo has decided to launch this new collection on the same day as Earth Day 2022. As well as offering a wide range of mood-boosting colours, the frames of the new sunglasses are made using a plant-based compound material and the lenses have plant-based content made from salvaged wood and waste from farming activity.

Glasses from the Multicolor Eyewear Capsule come in a special box, made with 50% recycled materials, in line with sustainable procurement practices.
Innovative, creative use of raw materials has always been a signature trait of the Florentine fashion house, which has always been extremely mindful of the environmental impact of what it does and the products it makes as the brand passionately forges ahead with its commitment to ever more sustainable development.

Created using cutting-edge production techniques, incorporating the finest craftmanship, and with their highly exclusive style, the glasses feature an ultra lightweight frame and gorgeous detailing such as chunky side arms emblazoned with embossed Gancini symbol and Ferragamo logo printed on the inside.

To accompany the launch of the capsule, the Ferragamo website and its social media channels will feature a special digital campaign with a portfolio of shots and a short film showcasing the new eyewear collection and its vibrant colour palette. Strongly dynamic visual content with a joyous, playful and alluring attitude: a bold way of looking at things and a force of energy that packs a real punch, inviting us to be carried away by colour and light to a new dimension where all our senses come into play.
