Ronan Maclean – ‚Right Here, Right Now‘ + Exclusive Interview

1. Hello, thank you for your time, please introduce yourself in a few words!

My pleasure, my name is Ronan Maclean and I am a dance, pop artist from Australia.

2. Please give us an update about – new single, new album, tour dates, new videos?!

I just released my debut single ‘Right Here, Right Now’ that can be streamed on all platforms. Its a synthy danc/pop track with loads of commercial appeal. I think of it as my Charlie Puth’s ‘One Call Away’ It’s very accessible and easy to listen to. Anyone who hears it gets a taste of what my style is. It’s a feel good song with a chill, dancy chorus that appeals to almost everyone.

3. Name 5 things we all should know about you as an artist?

I create all my music myself (songwriting, producing, singing) in my bedroom.

My idol is Charlie Puth (I even mentioned him earlier in this interview) and he also creates all his music himself so he’s a huge inspiration to me.

One of my main goals with my music is to lift the listeners mood, I really want to make people want to dance or just have a good time, kind of like Earth, Wind and Fire.

I love good vibes and thats something I want to portray with my music.

This is only the beginning, I have hundreds of songs already waiting to be released, releasing my first single was the first step.

4. What fashion style or brand would best describe your music?

I feel like my music is kind of like comfort music, so definitely something comfortable. Personally I wear a very chill skater fashion style with cargo pants and cool shirts. Kind of like this.

5. Tell us more about your songs! Topics! Message!?

‘Right Here, Right Now’ is very accessible like I said before. There are no themes that are revolutionary, but in the future my songs are going to get much more interesting and have much more reconstructible lyrics.

6. Beside music, do you have any special talents?

I love surfing and skating and Ive been doing them for many years now so would say im pretty good at them.

7. Being on stage feels…

insane, like everyones attention is on you and you have the ability to captivate hundreds (or even thousands maybe in the future) just with your voice. It’s truly incredible.

8. How did you learn to sing/ to write/ to play??

Im mostly self taught. Youtube is a godsend for me. Theres videos on everything you could ever want to know. I had guitar lessons for a bit but I quit when I realised I was learning more on my own.

9. A question you’d like to answer, but never been asked in an interview before?! + Answer pls

Well id love to be asked “When Justin Bieber came and asked you to feature on his next album, how did that make you feel?” But actually I would say “What era would you say your music would suite the best” to which I would say “Definitely the 80s, I just feel like the 80s were such a great time for music and synths were just starting to be used extensively in pop records. My music is already heavily inspired by the 80s so I just feel like it would really suite that time period.
