L.A.-based progressive streetwear label Renowned has launched its fall/winter 2021 collection.
“At the age of 14, I was determined to lucid dream,” said John Dean, founder and creative director. “Back in the day, I used to listen to binaural beats which were made to help you tap into higher frequencies. If done right, you’d be able to be conscious in your dream state. The overall goal for me was to tap into the unused parts of my brain while being able to control my dreams. As I look back on it, those precise moments are the times when I learned how to meditate and manifest what I wanted out of life. Although I never was able to lucid dream while I was asleep, I learned how to dream while I was awake. I turned a far fetch idea of getting out of my neighborhood and making a name for myself into reality.”
