The “Dazzle” print covers a central segment of the Autumn/Winter 2023 collection, which stands out for its distinctly contemporary and fashion-oriented style, designed with city looks and relaxing mountain getaways in mind.
The “Dazzle” print steals the show; in fact, this geometric pattern was once used as a pictorial technique by merchant ships in the interwar period to confuse enemy fleets. This design has been redazzled with a green, beige and cream-hued ad hoc graphic camouflage pattern, amongst which keen eyes may be able to spot the repeated shark fin detail: a skilful balance between the brand’s historic heritage – whose iconic symbol has always been the shark – and the new path undertaken towards a refreshed style and contemporary design.
A wide range of garments are offered in the “dazzle” print: padded down jackets, gilets, teddy jackets with faux shearling inserts and rib-knit overshirts. Two important factors come into play here – the meticulous design research and the storytelling aspect – to help the brand’s garments do the talking.
