PAUL SMITH’S SPACE-INSPIRED AW22 JUNIOR COLLECTION

Inspired by childhood dreams of blasting off into outer space, the new AW22 Junior collection features playful graphics, colour-blocking and premium fabrics – and marks the return of the Girlswear category.

Spanning baby collections (newborn to 24 months) as well as girlswear and boyswear (ages 2-13 years), the new Paul Smith Junior collection takes an imaginary trip to space as its starting point. Filled with bold pops of colour, this season also includes more classic shapes and clean-lined styles.

The graphic theme continues with Zebra, a mainstay of Paul Smith Junior collections, and the return of the Dino motif, as well as a selection of astronaut, planet, spaceship and alien graphics which feature prominently across T-shirts, sweats, polos, outerwear and shirts.

Premium natural fabrics and finishes, as well as comfort, are central to this season’s collection, with Pima cotton polos available in a variety of colours, cosy 100% brushed cotton, stretch cotton chinos and quality cotton Oxfords.

Another key focus this season is sweats, with coordinating sets featuring the reimagined Artist Stripe Zebra motif and a graphic offering that reflects the space theme. Outerwear includes puffa and padded styles ideal for the colder months, as well as more technical parka-inspired styles and gilets. Meanwhile, a pair of unisex trainers featuring the Artist Stripe is available in both a laced (for older children) and rip tape (for younger kids) version. Accessories, too, follow the Artist Stripe themes, with striped hats, gloves and scarves.

The themes are echoed in the baby collection, which includes a more muted, pastel palette but maintains the space theme with printed, padded pram suits, and coordinating sweat sets with colour-block motifs and playful dino motifs. Hooded rompers this season include quilting details and adorable Artist Stripe ears.
