OIEE – „Lighthouse“ + Exclusive Interview

1. Thank you very much for your time! Before we introduce your new release to our readers – what kind of drink would you recommend to zip on while they listen to your new music?

Moscow Mule

2. Please give us an update about – new single, new album, tour dates, new videos?!

„Lighthouse“ is the first single from my upcoming album called „Two Sides“.

Most of the tracks have been written last year, still this specific track came up as a fresh idea a few weeks ago. It is based on the drum/bass groove of another track from the album and some leftover lyrics. I love to put out something really fresh if possible, so decided to go with this electronic dance/pop track.

I started as a songwriter, vocalist, so melodies are still important for me, when im experimenting with dance music. Bicep, Disclosure, Moderat, Jamie XX, Caribou and Glass Animals had the biggest influence on the new album.

Im working on some other tracks with Grammy Award winner Steve Dub (Chemical Brothers), those tracks are also coming out later this year.

3. We live in times of many conspiracy theories. Which, harmless, theory would you wish were true? (For example Dinos living inside Earth or E.T. living in a home in California)

Dinos living inside Earth would sound amazing!

4. What fashion style or brand would best describe your music?

I like vintage stuff, I don’t know how to name it, but I asked a friend of mine to make this outfit for me personally for example:

5. Tell us more about your songs! Topics! Message!?

I started as singer-songwriter, still have my old rock band (we played several times in Germany back then at some talent shows, etc), so melodies are still important for me as a producer. Electronic music came much later, after playing music for like 10 years or more.

I started producing my own music in the last 6 years, this project „OIEE“ started 3 years ago, when I felt I need more freedom when it comes to decisions in my music and plans. It’s really different from playing in a band, but I love to work with others, so Im still working with a lot of musicians and producers, but not as band members anymore. My topics are mostly about mostly my own experiences in my daily life, but Im not a big liricist, Im more into the musical part of things.

6. Beside music, do you have any special talents?

Well I can connect things really qucik, most of my work is managing art project and organising in the field of music and design.

My not so special talent is that I love sports, If I could I would play ball games every day actually. Im playing in a Basketball team in the Budapest B League, also playing Tennis, Volleeyball, Football anytime or go to the gym anytime I can.

7. Name 5 things we all should know about you as an artist?!

I like being on stage and improvise, Im hosting an improvised jam session for 5 years now in Budapest.

Im in for any kind of style in music, it helps me evolve as a producer, songwriter.

Im producing my own visuals and videos.

Im also a full time program manager in Budapest.

Im a singer and a not too good gutiarist, but really like to work with other artist to make my music more various.

8. How did you learn to sing/ to write/ to play??

Mostly self-taught, never went to proper music school, only took some singing classes.

9. A question you’d like to answer, but never been asked in an interview before?! + Answer pls

What’s you favourite time you are rooting for?

Liverpool!!!
