1. Thank you very much for your time! Before we introduce your new release to our readers – what kind of drink would you recommend to zip on while they listen to your new music?
Thanks for having me. Well, since my new music is all about fat basses and going crazy in the club I would say: let’s shot some tequila! I don’t like the drink at all but I think it will set us in the right mood for a fun night filled with my music.
2. Please give us an update about – new single, new album, tour dates, new videos?!
I just launched my very first solo track ‘Rabbit Hole’ on Spinnin Records. I’m heading in a new music direction which feels amazing. It’s a bit more club oriented and the tempo is going up a little. Rabbit Hole is just a hint of what’s about to come so stay tuned!
About shows and more: I just came back from Miami Music Week. I had the honor to visit some amazing events and do some very interesting meetings. Also I played the Paaspop Festival here in Holland straight after. This is one of the bigger festivals here in Holland. This summer I have some amazing gigs scheduled at both festivals and clubs.
3. We live in times of many conspiracy theories. Which, harmless, theory would you wish were true? (For example Dinos living inside Earth or E.T. living in a home in California)
Good question! It would be very cool if time travellers are real. If I had the chance, I would definitely check out the 70’s and 80’s. Also to get inspired with the first uptempo music genres. I don’t want to know too much about the future.
4. What fashion style or brand would best describe your music?
Definitely some nonchalant streetwear. I love to blend vintage items with new exclusive brands. This also because in my music the old school meets the new school. Some brands I have worn to my last shows are: Gallery Dept, Jacquemus, Kith, LaFam & Carhartt.
5. Tell us more about your songs! Topics! Message!?
In my new music you will hear a lot of sounds from the early 00’s. I love to combine for example classic sounds with a cool/fresh new vocal. I hope people will feel more energetic after listening to my music. My studio workflow is different every day. Sometimes I’m working on a track for months and in some cases I can finish a track in a day.
6. Beside music, do you have any special talents?
Haha a lot of people will not expect this, but I’m a good ice skater. This is a big sport here in Holland. Since I was little I grew up with this sport. Later on I also participated in competitions around the country.
7. Name 5 things we all should know about you as an artist?!
1 – I love to have salami on top of my four cheese pizza.
2 – I workout almost everyday and I see this as a part of my job (to stay fit).
3 – Classic and exotic cars are my thing. Dream car is a classic Porsche 911.
4 – My dj set contains 90% music of my own productions. This includes bootlegs/remixes and originals.
5 – I’m a big fan of snow and wintersport. You can find me on ski’s during the winter season every year.
8. How did you learn to sing/ to write/ to play??
It all started with me just playing in my bedroom with my guitar. At some point I found out that I could record my guitars in Garageband and to add drum loops underneath. This is how my first compositions were born. I just kept on doing and enjoyed the process more than the outcome. That’s why I’m doing what I’m doing today. After mastering my production skills I started with learning how to DJ. Practice makes perfect!
9. A question you’d like to answer, but never been asked in an interview before?! + Answer pls: “What is something you can’t live without?”
Of course I can’t live without my family and friends. They are always supportive. I even brought my grandma to a festival last year and she loved it! Also I’m always wearing the same vintage watch to my shows. It was my grandfather’s and I think it brings me luck!
