1. Thank you very much for your time! Before we introduce you to our readers – what kind of drink would you recommend to sip on while they listen to your new music?
You should definitely sip on a Spicy Margarita while listening to my new album. It’s the perfect blend of tangy and spicy – just like the music.
2. Please give us an update about your new album Dark Horse and latest single ‘Slasher’?
My newly released sophomore album, Dark Horse, is a 10 track musical journey that dabbles in all things dark and sexy – drawing from a decade of life’s trials and tribulations. The latest single, Slasher, is a seductive tale about the risks associated with online dating. There are several other singles and visuals in the works too.
3. What topics and messages do you hope to put across in your new music?
One of the main messages that I want listeners to take away from the new music is the need to live life authentically. There is no wrong or right way to live your life and too often we just float around without purpose. I hope the new record inspires people to think more freely.
4. How did you learn to write music?
It just came naturally after observing other artists‘ lyrics and songs. I wrote my first song when I was 13 years old. I didn’t think too much about it at the time and just let it flow out of me naturally. Shortly after, I was hooked and I’ve been writing ever since.
5. Name five things we all should know about you as an artist?
- I direct, produce and edit (sometimes even shoot) all my music videos.
- As an independent artist, I’m involved in every aspect of my career. A lot of people think I have this gigantic team behind me and that’s simply not the case.
- My sound is heavily influenced by 80s music.
- The motto I live by is quality over quantity.
- I was discovered by featuring on Britney Spears’ official website.
6. Besides music, do you have any special talents?
I’m very big on visual storytelling – especially through music videos because I get the best of both worlds. I also enjoy many forms of art, like drawing, painting and graphic design.
7. What fashion style or brand would best describe your music?
London based fashion brand, Black Stripes. It’s sustainably sourced, upcycled vintage, creative, edgy as well as grungy – Need I say more?
