MR PORTER launches its second Small World collection, showcasing a carefully curated list of global brands that demonstrate a commitment to MR PORTER’s Craftmanship Code and champion responsible style, across a range of categories including ready-to- wear, accessories, fine jewellery and more.
Brands within Small World are required to demonstrate one or more of the Craftsmanship Code’s six key pillars – Heritage Craft, Future Craft, Made Locally, Made To Last, Made With High Standards Of Animal Welfare and Made From Considered Materials – while maintaining their unique regional authenticity and artisanal heritage. Of the 22 brands that make up this year’s collection, 10 are new to MR PORTER and span a breadth of labels from across the world.
MR PORTER remains committed to being a place of discovery by exploring far and wide to showcase the very best in local, beautifully crafted products and making them discoverable on a global scale. The Small World 2022 collection comprises 324 product listings, of which 164 are exclusive to MR PORTER and consist of casualwear, lifestyle, luxury, shoes, underwear, swimwear and fine jewellery. Small World continues to bring together and support communities across the globe, from Indonesia, Nigeria and Brazil to the UK, France, Portugal and Japan.
An array of innovative brands have come onboard for Small World 2022, each offering something truly special. Examples include King Kennedy Rugs’ mix of digitally printed runs inspired from rugs in its collection and highly limited units of vintage rugs reworked into totes and jackets, Japan Best’s luxury goods showcase produced by the country’s small businesses and artists and Indonesia’s Space Available, a radical upcycling brand that repurposes plastic waste from landfill and local beaches into homeware and low-impact clothes.
