MAYDAY – The largest German indoor rave reveals the first news and acts for 2024

It’s the holiday of electronic music culture – MAYDAY. The largest German indoor rave, which wakes up every year on the night of May 1st, has had a significant impact on the German and international techno scene. Now I-MOTION announces the first news and artists for the 38th edition. In 2024 there will be four floors in Dortmund’s Westfalenhallen, the new stage with “Techno-Legends” for the first time. The first acts include Charlotte de Witte, Reinier Zonneveld, Adam Beyer, TRYM, Angerfist and SHLØMO.

In 2024, MAYDAY will again present a lineup that reflects both current trends and the sound outside of the commercial mainstream of electronic music culture. With Charlotte de Witte, the undisputed techno queen was signed for the “Arena”. Highlight performances on all continents, Mixmag and DJ Mag covers, high rankings in the charts, awards such as Best Techno at the DJ Awards 2019, #18 in the current DJ Mag Top 100 DJs and a high-profile residency on BBC Radio 1. The Belgian DJ and producer is a force of nature in the techno scene that everyone can see for themselves on April 30, 2024.

Also on the decks in the arena are TRYM and Dutch DJ and producer Reinier Zonneveld. Beatport #1, releases with Carl Cox, remixes for Moby, Hollywood film licensing and appearances at all major festivals worldwide, the Dutchman has significantly shaped the techno scene with his productions and live sets.

Angerfist, the infamous “Man in the Mask” will provide the sound beyond 150 bpm at the Factory. The Dutchman has been the highest-ranked hardcore artist in the DJ Mag Top 100 for years.

Hard techno is the genre for the “Empire” floor. SHLØMO from France as well as Lorenzo Raganzini and Paolo Ferrara are the first top stars in the scene to be confirmed for 2024. The two Italian DJs and producers have created a new movement with TechnoMetal.

With the new “Techno Legends” floor, there will be four areas at Germany’s most traditional indoor rave in 2024. The first legends to inaugurate this stage are Dave Clarke, Luke Slater and The Advent. Over 30 top international DJs will be on the decks on April 30th.
