Maverick Sabre – „Walk These Days“ + Exclusive Interview

1. Hello, thank you for your time, please introduce yourself in a few words.

My name is Maverick Sabre, Singer/Songwriter/Producer. Born in London raised in Ireland.

2. Please give us an update about your new single „Can’t Be Wrong“. What can we expect?

I wrote ‚Can’t Be Wrong‘ in LA a couple of weeks before the first lockdown in 2020, just had a voice recording of it on my phone for months then finally got to finish it off once things started to open back up again, always the sign of something good for me when a year or two later it still grabs me. Wrote this with Ben Mckone. It’s back to the feel of some of my early music, soul driven balled about the conflict of coming out of a relationship and moving on.

3. Name 5 things we all should know about you as an artist?

I write from my heart.
Nothing but the feeling of the music in my soul drives me.
I never stick to one style of music, so don’t expect just one sound from me.
Live shows mean the most to me because that’s the immediate connection between us all.
I’m inspired by everything.

4. What fashion style or brand would best describe your music?

No brand would best describe my music. Yes I do love certain brands, but ‚brands‘ can’t describe something from the heart. It’s like asking you to describe the love you have for your family with what kind of shoes you wear.

5. Please tell us more about the topics and messages of the songs on your upcoming album.

There’s a lot of love songs on the album and a few songs just about the head space I’ve been in about the world over the last two years. I would say this album is more reflective of the period of time just before lockdown hit, where I was around a lot of love, in and out of love and just generally in a space of figuring out my relationship with romance.

6. Beside music, do you have any special talents?

Gift of the Gab.

7. Being on stage feels like….?

Where I am meant to be.

8. How did you learn to sing/ to write/ to play??

My dad taught me the guitar and the love for music at a young age. Pure and true unwavering love that has never left me.

9. A question you’d like to answer, but you have never been asked before in an interview?

How are you feeling today? Like really feeling, not just on the surface but in your heart, are you ok?

we don’t ask each other this enough.
