Matteo Padovan – Top Model Interview

1. How did you get into modeling?

Since I was a little boy I loved getting pictures and it was a game I played with my parents. At schools I was bullied and I was very insecure. I started working as a model, overcoming my fears, around the age of 17/18 when I realize my body shape that had grown thanks to the gym.

2. What are you doing if you are not modeling?

I work as a lifeguard at the most beautiful beaches in the Italian Riviera and, as swimming pool trainer, where I discovered that I have a predisposition for teaching swimming to the little ones

3. The most spontaneous/difficult/strange thing you’ve ever done?

Dealing with the loss of my father when I was not yet an adult and independent was a difficult time in my life he was my all. Something spontaneous was talking to my mother first and then telling all my friends about my homosexuality.

4. What’s your life motto?

My motto is „Hakuna Matata“. It comes from the film that has always linked me to my father “ The Lion King”. Its literal meaning is „no problems“; it can be compared to many other similar expressions in other areas of the world, such as „no worries“.

5. Describe your personal style – Favorite Brands/Fragrance?!

What I like the most is not a particular brand but a style of dressing a personal sportswear in which I choose and mix-matching quality pieces. Also regarding the fragrances I like to choose elegant, bitter and non-persistent eau de toilette, up to now I’m mixing two Jo Malone London essences.

6. What genre of music best describes you?

I sing and “feel” UK pop music very mine. I also like music from the 80s.

7. Where are your roots – The best thing about/to do in your hometown?

I was born and raised in a small rural and industrial town not far from Milan where, in reality, whenever possible, I enjoyed with friends to shop or cultural events

8. Name one celebrity you’d like to get naughty with!

Some different singers I would like to learn technique from. for example Demi Lovato, Michael Bolton, Ariana Grande, Bon Jovi.

9. Do you have any special Talents?

I have a mature passion and I’m still studying pop singing . I participated and sometimes won some singing contest, I post my covers and my original songs on my Instagram and on Youtube

10. What is the most interesting thing online at the moment?

I think TikTok is the strongest social today. I have fun watching YouTube, I love a lot of YouTubers that make me feel I love in a real family. The most effective one for me is Instagram where I also like to post my photos and videos so frequently
