David is a motivated and enthusiastic photographer. He loves creative lighting and using images to portray a story. In addition to formal qualifications, he adds to his skills by continuously experimenting and pushing boundaries.
Maikol is passionate about modelling. For him, it’s not about trying to look a certain way to create ‚popular‘ images, but about using photography to express himself and engage with the viewer.
The brief for this experienced photographer and model was to create some emotive and moody images that reflect modern masculinity. The role of the male and masculinity are popular topics of discussion and this team decided to create some creative and moody images and let the viewer decide. Hence, they came up with the concept of ‚The Enigmatic Male‘!
The shoot took place just south of London, and since it was the second time they had worked together, the atmosphere was energised, creative and ambitious. Lots of different concepts were tried and both Maikol and David contributed ideas and creative input. David used different lighting set-ups and backdrops to create some high impact shots and Maikol used emotive poses and expressions to complete the look.
