LONGINES is expanding its popular collection THE LONGINES MASTER COLLECTION with two new, exclusive GMT models in 18 carat yellow gold or 18 carat rose gold. The two GMT models are each limited to 500 pieces.
The Longines Master Collection perfectly embodies the watchmaking savoir-faire and timeless elegance of the brand with the winged hourglass. The elegant timepieces are powered by the L844.5 caliber, which is used exclusively by Longines. It is equipped with a silicon coil spring and other innovative components. This achieves magnetic field resistance that exceeds the requirements of the ISO standard 764 ten times. The self-winding mechanical movement can be admired through the sapphire crystal back of the 40 mm diameter case and offers a power reserve of up to 72 hours.
Visually, the Longines Master Collection GMT is characterized by simple sophistication and great attention to detail. This is also evidenced by the anthracite gray, extra-soft leather strap, which has been refined with a special vegetable “soft-touch” tanning and is held by a pin buckle made of yellow or rose gold.
GMT function
The GMT function symbolizes the pioneering spirit that has always driven Longines. This function points to Longines‘ pioneering role in the development of this technology: the brand with the winged hourglass manufactured its first model with a flyback function in 1925 and then applied for the patent, which was registered on June 16, 1936 – a world first.
