Hello, thank you for your time, please introduce yourself in a few words!
I’m LiYON, a fun-loving synth pop music artist from Montreal Canada.
2. Please give us an update about – new single, new album, tour dates, new videos?!
I just released a track called “Back It Up” it’s pretty much about the frailty of dating life in these modern days. I’ll be releasing a new track and a music video around July 6th. And then in the end of august, an other new track and music video. I’d love to release an album in the near futur… we’ll see if it can happen :))
3. Name 5 things we all should know about you as an artist?!
I’ve been working for years as a producer behind the scenes, and this is a project that let’s me be genuine. I write and produce all my music, I even direct my own music videos. The name LiYON comes from ex co-workers, kind of making fun of how much I love my cat. My songs are apparently catchy. I like to produce slow-burn music because I’m not really into super high energy anything.
4. What fashion style or brand would best describe your music?
Skater / 80’s 90’s – Thrasher & Rip & Dip.
5. Do you have bad habits? A guilty pleasure you can’t seem to quit?
I like all kinds of movies but I think my guilty pleasure is watching romantic comedies. I’m not trying to quit though. I can’t have chocolate in my house… it’s a problem, I’ll eat it all. Also, I’m trying to quit peanut butter, straight out the jar.
6. Beside music, do you have any special talents?
I started skateboarding again a few years ago and I’m getting better than I was as a teenager. I love skateboarding and skateboard culture.
7. Being on stage feels like….!
Being on stage feels like it’s my birthday party on crack. I love being on stage and talking to people after a show.
8. Must Have – and No-Go in your Wardrobe! – Favorite Fashion Brand and Fragrance?
Some loose fit jeans and a Thrasher shirt. Lot’s of XXL button-up shirts to wear with Seinfeld-type jeans. MUST have good sweatpants and oversize sweater for watching movies. Fav fashion brand: Aller Retour from Montreal. Fragrance: Tobacco Vanilla from Tom Ford
