Karl Lagerfeld Rouge: The Maison reissues its legendary olfactory opus in a new and captivating way

Fashion for the nose – this is how the legendary fashion designer called the perfume “Karl Lagerfeld pour Femme”, which he launched in spring 2014.

With its bright floral bouquet, the fragrance, which was conceived by Christine Nagel and Serge Majoullier and combines all the elements of a timeless classic in a glass bottle with metal elements and clear contours, reflects the unique signature that the creative icon has not only in the world of fashion, but also in photography, design and architecture.

Precise, strict lines, monochrome contrasts, the finest raw materials, attention to detail: the most important codes of Karl Lagerfeld’s creative vision can also be found in the Eau de Parfum Karl Lagerfeld pour Femme.

Ten years later, the Maison is reissuing its legendary olfactory opus: Karl Lagerfeld Rouge. The name of this new fragrance creation is inspired by one of the fashion designer’s favorite colors and emphasizes its fiery facet.

Perfumer Romain Almairac (Robertet), who composed the new perfume based on the rich universe of KARL LAGERFELD, describes it as “unique, modern and captivating”. A universe that cannot be pigeonholed, combines countless contrasting facets and creates seductive paradoxes: classic sources of inspiration next to avant-garde elements, uncompromising elegance next to humorous notes, soft flowing next to strict, jeans next to a suit. This creative duality also set the course for the new Eau de Parfum, which impresses with its contrasts and attention to detail.
An enchanting bouquet unfolds in the heart note of Karl Lagerfeld Rouge. An elegant alliance of jasmine and orange blossom with a touch of patchouli, following a zesty, fruity top note trio of blackcurrant, pear and peach.

In the base note, an enveloping accord of cashmere wood and ambrox merges with a creamy alliance of vanilla and caramel. The ending is a subtle, warm wave. Overall, a thoroughly contemporary, olfactory work of art.

The bottle presents itself with the same powerful, timeless lines as the original Eau de Parfum KARL LAGERFELD: a monolithic glass bottle in perfect geometry, with a transparent cap over a metal ring studded with studs.

What’s new is the bright red color gradient, which serves as a background for the fashion designer’s name in mirrored metallic letters, which magically attract the viewer’s eye and further emphasize the modernity of the graffiti-style „Rouge“ lettering. The embossed cardboard packaging features the brand’s logo along with the couturier’s profile in the letter „K“ and provides the ultimate contrast in the finish with the „clash“ of red on white.
