Jordan Bradley – „Hold on Me“ + Exclusive Interview

Thank you very much for your time! Before we introduce your new release to our readers – what kind of drink would you recommend to sip on while they listen to your new music?

My go to drink is always Whiskey & Coke and I think that represents my music pretty well. Smooth and simple but very very tasty.

2. Please give us an update about – new single, new album, tour dates, new videos?!

I’m working on my next single and music video ‘Jack’ which is set for release this summer (named after the drink, funnily enough). I’ll be performing nationwide too – check my socials for updates! (@jordanbradleyuk)

3. We live in times of many conspiracy theories. Which, harmless, theory would you wish were true? (For example Dinos living inside Earth or E.T. living in a home in California)

I find UFO’s fascinating. I’ve never had an experience myself (and I’m not sure that I want to) but after spending many, many hours watching UFO documentaries, I can definitely say that I’m a believer!

4. What fashion style or brand would best describe your music?

This was a tricky one. You can’t go wrong with a well tailored suit. Tom Ford’s clothes are pretty sophisticated but also contemporary which I’d like to think is reflected in my music.

5. Tell us more about your songs! Topics! Message!?

To me, music is all about feeling. Some emotions are hard to explain with words alone, and I think music is the perfect way to paint a picture. I like to take the listener back to a moment in time when they were feeling something. I also like to speak quite openly about my experience as a gay man and I hope I can be a new voice in the pop sphere for queer people!

6. Beside music, do you have any special talents?

I can’t say I have any exciting party tricks but I do remember every move to ‘5678′ by Steps.

7. Name 5 things we all should know about you as an artist?!

(1) My music is always changing and I like to keep things fresh. ‘Hold on Me’ is a ballad but my next release will be a lot different.

(2) Performing is my favourite part of being an artist and I work hard to put on the best show possible.

(3) I want to create a safe space for both queer people and our allies. I know how important it is to not only love the music you’re listening to, but feel represented as well.

(4) All the music I release is written entirely by me.

(5) I love surprising people. Finding freedom and expression thorough music is important to me and I love to challenge the norms of what is expected from male pop artists.

8. How did you learn to sing/ to write/ to play?

I’ve been singing ever since I can remember. At 8 years old I started performing in musical theatre, and I took up piano lessons at 9. A lot of my musical inspirations at the time were songwriters, so at around 12 I started putting pen to paper and the rest is history!

9. A question you’d like to answer, but never been asked in an interview before?! + Answer pls

Which Christmas movie reigns supreme – The Grinch or Elf? And my answer is The Grinch – every time.
