1. Thank you very much for your time! Before we introduce your new release to our readers – what kind of drink would you recommend to zip on while they listen to your new music?
Hello, thanks so much for having me! Gin & Tonic would be my choice of poison 🙂 perfect drink to get into the vibe to dance!
2. Please give us an update about – new single, new album, tour dates, new videos?!
Yes all new 🙂 I have been releasing a lot of new singles the pasts weeks: ‘Dinner For Two’, ‘Trouble‘ featuring the great Georgia Ku, ‘True‘ featuring my super talented friend Karen Harding and my latest single called ‘Who Cares’ together with Alex Hosking, who is also a great friend of mine. All those singles are leading up to my album coming out 9th december, which is called ‘Cutting Through Noise’. So yeah exciting times with lots of new music and slowly next years touring agenda is also taking shape 🙂
3. We live in times of many conspiracy theories. Which, harmless, theory would you wish were true? (For example Dinos living inside Earth or E.T. living in a home in California)
Haha I guess I would pick the fake moonlanding, it would be the best marketing stunt ever
4. What fashion style or brand would best describe your music?
I think anything you would wanna wear to a club would be a good description. Something you feel comfy dancing in, but still quirk as well. Actually, I guess my own style fits to my music: bit of street style, interesting patterns, oversized.
5. Tell us more about your songs! Topics! Message!?
Yeah I like writing songs that are sexy and fun. So much in life is about love, so I like to write about that feel of excitement, tension and release between humans.
I want very song to give the listener a good and exciting feeling. Even in difficult times those songs always have been a welcome distraction to me.
6. Beside music, do you have any special talents?
mmm I guess I am a pretty decent chef. I like cooking a lot and trying out new dishes and being creative in the kitchen, I like combining cuisines, for example throwing in typical asian ingredients & spices into a traditional Italian pasta!
7. Name 5 things we all should know about you as an artist?!
– I love biang biang noodles
– jonasu is jonas in japanese – I made an album for a japanese label loooong time ago
– the smiley in my logo comes from the japanese letter „Ä (Tsu)
– have a great collection of cool pants haha
– I like a good night out in a techno club
8. How did you learn to sing/ to write/ to play??
I learned playing the drums from age 5. I had a piano in the house growing up so I was always fooling around with it, but never had lessons. And I think most skills I use at the moment, like writing producing and singing, I just learned by myself by trail and error and spending a lot of time just doing it and trying to get better at it.
