Jack Tracy’s new era of music–and steamy „too hot for YouTube“ videos–continues with the release of new R&B banger Overdrive featuring LGBTQ+ rapper Mel Lennon.  The track–which is a pure exultation of carnality and uncompromisingly queer–follows October’s Daddy Made It and continues Jack’s trend of leaning into the sexy for his now OnlyFans-exclusive music videos.  The track and video will drop simultaneously on all streaming platforms, YouTube (censored) and OnlyFans (uncensored) on December 1, 2021.
„I’m taking the sexiness of the last few videos and, well, going into Overdrive,“ Jack Tracy quips about his draw-dropping new video.  „My inspiration for the video was the Busta Rhymes and Janet Jackson classic ‚What’s It Gonna Be?‘ and is a bit of a love letter to the sexy videos of the 90s I grew up with.“
In the Overdrive video–another collaboration with cinematographer Joseph Patrick Conroy of Amerikana Media–Jack and featured rapper and crooner in his own right Mel Lennon celebrate each other’s sexual prowess in a fantasy realm of dungeons, candlelit lounges and a peculiar bedroom complete with inflatable sheets and sentient tubes that end up going…well, you’ll have to check the OnlyFans version for that.  Jack continues to outdo himself on production value with a highly saturated and stunning visual, and of course drops just a little bit of choreography.  „In making the dance sequence, I wanted it to feel like Aaliyah’s ‚One In A Million‘–and I think we accomplished that.“

Jack and Mel Lennon wrote the song together in Jack’s living room in May 2021.  „I made the beat and fell in love,“ Jack says of the writing process.  „I sent it to Mel and he did too.  I think we ended up writing the whole thing in 48 hours.  We’re kindred spirits, Mel and I–once we fall in love with something, we are laser-focused and tunnel-visioned until it’s done.“
Having met on Instagram over the pandemic, this is not Jack’s first collaboration with indie rapper Mel Lennon.  Mel hopped on Jacks‘ remix of „Love Yah“ and the two also covered Tweet’s „Turn Da Lights Off“ last summer, turning the slow jam into an uptempo funk track.  The two already plan to be back dueting in the spring a with drum-heavy club track called „Get It.“  Mel Lennon released his incredible solo EP „Over Thinking Out Loud“ earlier this year.
The frequent collaborators have also performed together throughout New York City upon the recent return of the nightlife scene post-quarantine, including at a recent benefit for DJ 2Face at Playhouse, thrown by Thotyssey’s Jim Silvestri.  Jack and Mel debuted the new Overdrive track at a brand new nightlife event Jack is now producing–F.A.M.–which launched at Club Cumming on Thanksgiving Eve to a packed and enthusiastic crowd.
„F.A.M. stands for ‚faggot ass music‘–because that’s all we’re going to play at this party.  From Lil Nas X to Sam Smith all the way down to little old me, friend and legendary NYC DJ Chauncey Dandridge is only spinning tracks from our F.A.M.“  Jack and Mel Lennon were joined at the inaugural F.A.M. by New York City independent queer artists J.R. Price, Bryce Quartz, Kyle Motsinger, Marcel The Artist and featured the New York debut of Ricky Allson.  „To put it simply,“ Jack explains, „there’s no performance circuit for independent queer musicians in New York right now, especially if you don’t have a live band or if you aren’t also a drag artist.  So we’re building one our damn-selves.  Welcome to the FAM.“
Jack will be performing his new music at the Maddelynn Hatter-hosted evening at Metropolitan in New York City on December 6, co-hosting an evening of comedy at Club Cumming on December 22 with Ginger Ladd which will feature trans comedian Jaye McBride, and he will also be joining the Vinyl Fantasy line-up at 3 Dollar Bill to tribute the Pussycat Dolls later in the month.  The F.A.M. party hopes to continue in 2022.
