You deserve to relax, even at the end of the most hectic workdays when all you want to do is absolutely nothing but relax. You may not have the money to afford to go to a spa every day after work or even at the end of every workweek. Thankfully, however, you can give yourself a spa-like experience right at home, where you can unwind, treat yourself, take care of your body, and truly relax. Continue reading the list found below to learn how to give yourself the spa-like experience right in your home or in your bathroom.

1. Warm Up Towels

The most basic way to give yourself the spa-like experience at your home is to take a nice bubble bath with bath bombs, candles, a glass of wine, and relaxing music. You should not let the experience end when you leave the water though, as you can also prepare yourself by always having hot towels waiting for you. All you have to do is throw your towels in the dryer for a few minutes, though you can also make your towels warm for your nightly face washings. Just soak the towels in the hottest water you have, wring them out, and use them to wash your face.

2. Invest in a Sauna

If you go to any spa, you know that they are likely to have a sauna where you can warm up your body. These saunas are great as you are able to release the toxins that have built up in your body through sweat, which ends up releasing your stressors. You can have one of these saunas right in your home though by investing in a home infrared sauna. You can use it whenever you want to, and you do not even have to worry about sharing the space with other people.

3. Update Your Shower

You need to update your shower and tub to give you the ultimate spa-like experience right in your home. Change the temperature of your water by always moving it from hot to cold as this can assist your circulatory system and can improve your skin’s health. At the end of your shower, turn the water to lukewarm so that your body can re-enter a space of homeostasis that it needs. Invest in a new shower head as well such as a rain shower head to get the full water pressure that you need to relax.

4. Take Care of Your Eyes

You may think of the stereotypical image of a spa that includes individuals with cucumbers that are placed over their eyes. You do not have to use cucumbers in order to invest in your eye health though, as you can create your own. Use chamomile tea bags that have been cooked in milk, and allow them to cool down in the refrigerator for a few minutes afterward. Put them on your eyes to relieve signs of tiredness at the end of every day or when you are sitting in the bubble bath that you made.

5. Use Body Scrubs

When you go to a spa, you may sign up for a mud bath or for some other type of body scrub. You can create your own body scrub to use right at your home when you are finished in your shower or in your bubble bath. Combine an equal amount of sugar and coconut oil until you create a paste that you can place on your body. Allow it to sit for a few minutes to really allow for the exfoliating effect until you rinse it off, then use your hot towel to dry yourself.

Final Thoughts

You do not have to have an expensive budget to enjoy a spa day as you can have one right in your home. Take the steps that you need to so that you can de-stress and unwind at the end of every day. It is so important to take time for yourself in such a busy world so that you do not become burnt out or overwhelmed. Even consider investing in a new shower or in a sauna that will last you years to come and is sure to bring you relaxation.
