FEATURETTE – “Cocaine” + Exclusive Interview

1. Thank you very much for your time! Before we introduce your new release to our readers – what kind of drink would you recommend to zip on while they listen to your new music?

We fancy a nice Dry Gin and Soda, like a good old sociopath 😉

2. Please give us an update about – new single, new album, tour dates, new videos?!

OK U READY?? The new single is called COCAINE – heads up it’s *very* addictive, so please listen responsibly. There maybe a bigger plan (eyebrows-eyebrows) at play here, but that is yet to be seen. You’ll have to stay tuned. We do have a tour kicking off March 3rd with Too Many Zooz and it’s gonna be energetic AF. I think between the two projects everyone’s gonna be dripping in sweat. This is our first release in one human-year, i.e. 16 covid years, but we’ve got more coming down the pipe imminently!

3. Name 5 things we all should know about you as a band?

– We’re all super neurodivergent and it shows in the tunes (trust).

– All three of us went to the same high school over several-many different years.

– We’re all cat people (fight us).

– Marc blew up his house and dug to the centre of the earth to make a subterranean super-nerd studio palace for us.

– We live there now (see above).

4. What fashion style or brand would best describe your music?

Hoodie-core x skivvies x docs (x casual knife)

5. We live in times of many conspiracy theories. Which, harmless, theory would you wish were true? (For example Dinos living inside Earth or E.T. living in a home in California)

GITTERGATE!!!!!!!! I need there to be a good reason that we’re running out of glitter and I WANT IT TO BE THAT THE GOVERNMENT IS THROWING RAVES BECAUSE THAT JUST SOUNDS SO WONDERFULLY GAY AND WE WISH TO ATTEND !!! #GovSparkleParty #glitterex

6. If you could change anything about the industry, what would it be?

More female producers is a big one for me (Lex) right now after breaking into the production side of things more these days. It’s definitely an industry that is male-dominant in so many areas, but I think slowly the tables are turning here. As a queer female artist I want to see more of that, and we’re just starting to crack that open. I’m excited to see where these next few decades take us, I think we’re trending in the right direction.

7. Tell us more about your songs! Topics! Message!?

In COCAINE I’m actually not talking about the drug (although TikTok would beg to differ as they banned us lol) but rather painting the mental duress of love-obsession as though it were a drug. God TikTok get your algorithmic shit together 😉 Love obsession is a thing that I definitely suffer from (obsession in general, let’s be real), and it’s my drug of choice! The song is meant to capture that new, all-consuming, check-your-phone-every-three-seconds kind of love. Toxic and manic as it maybe, full of butterflies and nausea – nothing is tastier for me. This song is a little peep into how it feels. Can you relate?

8.  A question you’d like to answer, but never been asked in an interview before?! + Answer pls

The answer is C), public basketball court.
