1. Thank you very much for your time! Before we introduce your new release to our readers – what kind of drink would you recommend to zip on while they listen to your new music?
Since I just had one the other day while blasting Harry’s House, I’d say a nice Dillon’s gin and tonic – tasty yet refreshing – which is how I hope listeners feel about my new song 🙂
2. Please give us an update about – new single, new album, tour dates, new videos?!
‘Make Me Happy’ is my newest single, and it’s the first of many I’ll be releasing this year! My insanely talented producer, Tal Vaisman, and I are working on a big project for 2023, and this song felt like a great opener for this next chapter. The upbeat nature of the pop music alongside some pretty emotional lyrics definitely paint a picture of what you can expect from my new releases.
3. We live in times of many conspiracy theories. Which, harmless, theory would you wish were true? (For example Dinos living inside Earth or E.T. living in a home in California)
I grew up being obsessed with sharks, and the megalodon always stuck with me. It’s the study of a 60ft shark species. Considering how much ocean we haven’t seen, I’m not sold that it’s extinct..
4. What fashion style or brand would best describe your music?
I’m super indecisive with my own style, but I really love the kind of cottage core style – neutrals, linens, really kind of organic chic. I think my new music, and ’Make Me Happy’ in particular, exudes more colour. Maybe a nice pastel pink wide-leg pleated pant – fun and youthful, yet elegant and mature.
5. Tell us more about your songs! Topics! Message!?
I love singing about love. But I also love singing about myself lol. ‘Make Me Happy’ is about both, where you want that one person to shower you with love and affection, and they just won’t. You realize you have to stop relying on them to make you happy. At the end of the day, we have to love ourselves first and foremost, we can’t rely on others for our own happiness.
The music I’ll be releasing this year spans over the course of the past 4 years, highlighting many different points of my life, highs and lows. As I release more, I think there’s going to be a song for everyone to resonate with, whether it be because of a break up, new love, or coming into your own.
6. Beside music, do you have any special talents?
I like to think I’m a really good chef! I love cooking a lot. I actually look forward to making myself dinner every night.
7. Name 5 things we all should know about you as an artist?!
- It usually takes me an hour to write a song. I use the voice memos and notes apps on my phone. Melody first, lyrics second (typically)
- I grew up admiring Taylor Swift, and I’m still heavily inspired by her, especially lyrically and musically
- I went to college for music production, but am quite shit at it 🙂
- I tend to get super nervous before a show, but chill out when I’m on stage
- My dream collaboration would be with Stevie Nicks and Taylor Swift
8. How did you learn to sing/ to write/ to play??
As a kid, I was constantly singing, and throughout school I joined the choirs and musicals. I got a really cute guitar for Christmas when I was 10, which was when my sister and I began taking lessons. I played my first show when I was 16, and began writing songs around the same time. I knew that if I wanted to be like Taylor Swift, I’d have to write songs too.
