$DVLLV$ Releases „444“ + Exclusive Interview

1. Hello, thank you for your time, please introduce yourself in a few words!

Hello! My name is $DVLLV$, pronounced Cash Dallas. I’m a Hip-Hop/Pop artist that is based out of Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

2. Please give us an update about – new single, new album, tour dates, new videos?!

My new single, „444,“ comes out on October 4th, 2021. Listening back to it, I hear it as a diary entry; all the good, all the bad of what I’ve been facing, and all while asking the world for protection – protection of mind, body, spirit and the same for my people.

3. Name 5 things we all should know about you as an artist?!

  • I’m easy to fall in love with.
  • I have more perseverance than talent.
  • My mother is gorgeous and my reason to live.
  • I define my own family, not blood.
  • My music saved my life.

4. What fashion style or brand would best describe your music?

I think fashion made by Virgil Abloh represents my music very well. It’s what my mother would call, “subtle flaunts.“ My music shows off variety, versatility, my upbringing, and my beliefs, all without being intrusive. I think that fashion suits me well.

5. Tell us more about your songs! Topics! Message!?

They hit everything and can affect everyone. Anyone can listen to my music and relate to it in some way. I said it previously, but this new song is just a diary entry. The idea of my music is to have someone feel a little less alone in a world where we are taught to think of ourselves as outcasts. Someone relates to you somehow, and the best way to do that is by sharing stories, ideas, and thoughts. I believe that is what my music does! That’s what this song, “444,” does.

6. Beside music, do you have any special talents?

I’m a pretty good swimmer. That sounds strange and I’m sure everyone is going to want to race me now, but I swam DI and followed my coach to DII. I competed at the national level collegiately, and I think I’m not half bad at it.

7. Being on stage feels like….!

Being on stage feels prophetic! I get the opportunity to be heard and to change lives, even if it’s just for a night, a few minutes, or just a song. Being on stage feels like the world is on your shoulders and you get to hold it with nothing, but a smile.

8. How did you learn to sing/ to write/ to play??

I started out self-taught. I grew up playing instruments, so I had an ear, but no one taught me about vocals, let alone how to record them. I started with just beatboxing in school and creating melodies to it. Eventually, that evolved into me buying equipment and watching a lot of YouTube tutorials. Finally, it was at a studio internship that I had with Bay8 Studios that I started to pick up on secret sauces. After that, I just ran with it .

9. A question you’d like to answer, but never been asked in an interview before?! + Answer pls

Why didn’t you quit when you had the chance?

I knew that if I quit and submitted to the social norms of working, then I would have nothing to strive for. I want to be alive and help others feel the same, not waste a life.
