Canek – „SEXXXsorship“ + Exclusive Interview

Thank you very much for your time! Before we introduce your new release to our readers – what kind of drink would you recommend to zip on while they listen to your new music?

Oh, definitely something fruity. Something that has colour, a little edge to it. A Sex on the Beach for example.

Please give us an update about – new single, new album, tour dates, new videos?!

I’m currently working on the greatest music of my career with my amazing producer RAZIEL (@by.raziel). I’ve been trying to solidify myself as an electropop singer and these songs are definitely it. It’s dark EDM, pop with tons of glitter. Coming really really soon.

We live in times of many conspiracy theories. Which, harmless, theory would you wish were true? (For example Dinos living inside Earth or E.T. living in a home in California)

I don’t know why but I instantly thought of mermaids. Can you imagine ? I would be very curious to hear them sing their hypnotizing melodies.

What fashion style or brand would best describe your music?

It’s definitely club kid. Prints, a lot of colour but always keep it classy. Maybe Zara, but Zara Women. I find Men’s clothes very boring.

Tell us more about your songs! Topics! Message!?

My songs always carry a message of freedom. I’ve been focusing a lot on sexual freedom, owning your sexuality without fear and judgment.

Beside music, do you have any special talents?

I love to cook and my sense of humor. I love making jokes and I’ve been slowly exploring that comedy side sharing my life with a funny twist.

Name 5 things we all should know about you as an artist?!

First of all, I am a very lonely person. I love to spend lots of time alone at my house watching a TV series. Secondly, I’m obsessed with catchy hooks. Lyrics are not that important to me while writing a pop song; it’s the catchy hooks that are going to make your song a hit. Furthermore, I fall in love really easily, I’m claustrophobic, taking the plane or the elevator is the worst nightmare for me, and I have a huge phobia of spiders.

How did you learn to sing/ to write/ to play??

When I was 13 years old, I became a member of my school choir. That is when I started learning all the technique and the basics of singing. Then, I took numerous years of songwriting courses and it helped me to know how to write pop songs almost automatically.

A question you’d like to answer, but never been asked in an interview before?! + Answer pls

Maybe what I value most about music and artists in general. I consider that, as an artist, you always need to be authentic and true to yourself. I get that is always nerve wracking to release music but people will always feel connected to your music if it comes from a deep and truthful place. The listeners are not dumb, they can hear when something is just fabricated and without any emotion in it.
