1. Hello, thank you for your time, please introduce yourself in a few words!
Hi, it’s a pleasure to be here! We are Blitz Union, an EDM-Rock band from Prague, Czech Republic.
2. Please give us an update about – new single, new album, tour dates, new videos?!
The current hot topic in our Union is the release of our debut album ‘Absolution’, which will be out on November 26 already. We can’t wait for the first feedback/reviews and we hope, people will enjoy it as much as we did creating it.
We really encourage everyone of our Union to buy the physical copy, because there are a few, let’s say “easter eggs” hidden in the booklet on top of the unheard tracks.
3. Name 5 things we all should know about you as a band?!
SPIRIT.VISION.POWER.DESIRE.ACTION – This is the main Blitz Union’s creed based on which we try to build and grow our Union.
4. What fashion style or brand would best describe your music?
Men’s official suit combined with futuristic fashion.
5. What’s your songwriting process?
The origin of Blitz Union’s inspiration is based on a specific communication between me and a mysterious entity which we call “Mr.Blitz”. Once I understand, once I feel what theme/story I should implement into a song, I start to compose a simple instrumental. If the whole band likes the overall vibe of the idea, we all start to work on the general arrangements together. Once the main structure of the song is done and agreed, Schtorm (bassist, producer) starts to work on the final production of the song.
6. If you could change anything about the industry, what would it be?
Probably what I would like it to change in any industry/sector – Conscious long-term cooperation, looking at the development of quality, potential and trust, instead of following „whom I could use to produce the biggest profit in the shortest possible time „.
7. Tell us more about your songs! Topics! Message!?
We delve into the challenges, Generation Y is facing: current social and political issues like environmental destruction, climate change, abuse of power, political persecution, homophobia, isolation, exploitation, corruption, the bubble mentality, and social injustice. Blitz Union presents ideas of change, hope, and the ability to take a broader view. It feels like the world is moving in the wrong direction, but we’re all together in the same boat. Maybe we can turn the helm if we all work together! Our task now is to find a common path forward for humanity. A path away from nationalism, from borders and any kind of social division. We need to stand together and finally face global challenges.
8. A question you’d like to answer, but never been asked in an interview before?! + Answer pls
„When you get a melody idea – in what sound does it come to you in your head?“
Usually, I hear the whole instrumental – including drums, guitars and keys. It always sounds epic in my head. But then, the transformation of the idea into reality is the most challenging thing. If the final song sounds at least 50 % as the original idea, it is a great success for me. (Laughter)
