1. Thank you very much for your time! Before we introduce your new release to our readers – what kind of drink would you recommend to zip on while they listen to your new music?
Thank you for having me! If it’s the morning I would recommend a (personally alcohol free/ cos that’s how I roll) fresh grapefruit mimosa if it’s the evening then put the kettle on and make a pot of fresh mint tea with agave. Because either way you’ll stay hydrated and acclimatised for the sonically emotional journey in-front of you.
2. Please give us an update about – new single, new album, tour dates, new videos?!
Everything is new till it isn’t. I have just released my debut album ‘Presence’ it comes with 10 new tracks. All meant to be listened to in a certain order. But it’s now up to you. You’ll hear something new every-time. I guarantee listening 20 times in the 1st week then self medicate appropriately after that. There are 4 singles here and the latest is get down and it has a marvellous video shot by photographer Dan Martensen on Hampstead heath. I will be playing London on November 7th playing Presence in full with a 7 piece band (including jamiroquai’s percussionist) . We will tour the uk as a 4 piece in February and I look forward to play bigger shows all around the world in 2023.
3. We live in times of many conspiracy theories. Which, harmless, theory would you wish were true? (For example Dinos living inside Earth or E.T. living in a home in California)
Well those aren’t conspiracy theories those are Hollywood movies! But my favourite which I think I made up is that cats are CCTV cameras sent by aliens from other planets / dimensions to spy on us

They are all reminders of being here, staying in the room, becoming present, staying connected, being honest, living and not drifting off into nothingness. The message is connection and if it’s not for you that’s ok to.

I love cooking.

8. How did you learn to sing/ to write/ to play??
Through listening to music religiously as a child. Film and music was my main escape from school, growing up, frustrations etc. I wanted to make my own music so I learnt the guitar by playing with friends who could naturally play better than me and eventually i got good and I started writing. It took me about 10 years to get confident in it and find my voice tho.
