Last week saw a massive drop of spring-ready good stuff from Arc’teryx. We’re talking British spring, by the way, so gigantic heaps of GORE-TEX, complimented by shorts, caps and tees. If like us you feel the urge to get your pins out then Arcy’T’s Aptin Shorts are a trail-ready winner, with a subtle zippered pocket to keep your trail mix (or whatever) and they go wonderfully with the Merino-blend tees.
A serious alpine jacket from Arc’teryx made from a panelled design of fully waterproof, windproof and breathable 3L GORE-TEX PRO which is embedded with RECCO reflector technology for improved searchability in emergency situations. The jacket has an adjustable fit with drawcords through the helmet-compatible hood and hem and Velcro straps to the cuffs, along with zippered underarms for ventilation. All zippers use WaterTight lamination, including two chest pockets. It also has a third security pocket to the inside. Branding is simple with an embroidered logo to the chest and GORE-TEX PRO embroidery to the sleeve. This is a regular fit – usual size will leave room for a technical midlayer.
A technical jacket from Canadian outerwear label Arc’teryx, made from a waterproof GORE-TEX membrane with a GORE C-KNIT backer for a soft, quiet and breathable design.It has drawcords through the hem and hood, Velcro-strap cuffs and laminated handwarmer pockets, along with a WaterTight front zipper. Branding is simple with an embroidered logo to the chest and a tonal GORE-TEX logo embroidered to the sleeve. This is a trim fit – usual size will be great over a tee or light mid. Size up for a more relaxed shell with large midlayers.
A short sleeve tee from Arc’teryx, made from a comfortable and breathable Polylain blend of 50% polyester, 44% merino wool and 6% nylon in a super fine woven jersey. It has a ribbed crew neck and a graphic logo print to the chest. This is a slightly trim fit – made to be an athletic base, it’ll come up a little slim to cut bulk.
A pair of trail running shorts from Arc’teryx made with a mechanical stretch from a comfortable blend of 87% nylon and 13% elastane with a DWR finish. It has a gusseted crotch for a wider range of motion, along with two hand pockets, a zippered security/phone pocket and a reflective logo to the leg. These are a regular fit – usual size should be all good.
