1. How did you get into modeling?
I’d starting posting things on instagram, twitter etc; mainly fitness style photos and some progress shots. Somewhere around the same time a few men’s fitness photographers got in touch, the next thing I knew I had 2 shoots the same day and it kind of, just went from there!
2.What are you doing if you are not modeling?
COOKING, and eating!, … but mainly the cooking!
I actually don’t think there is absolutely anything else in this world I like more than putting on a massive spread and drinks for friends! Its probably why Christmas is one of my favourite holidays… and also why it fattens me up so much!!! I essentially have a secret childlike fantasy to share my home recipes and become a cook like Nigella Lawson or a chef like Ottolenghi, just because they get to put so much of their personality into what they cook. Though I’d probably have to successfully unmould a cake at least in my life to be able to do that… so for now maybe I’ll stick with what I know.
3. The most spontaneous/difficult/strange thing you’ve ever done?
In just a few words! Business District, Aristic, Nude, 9am, Raining.
To explain I was doing a shoot with this fantastic and talented artist Omar Gaash, who specialises in a sort of surreal imagery in unusual environments. He’d just moved to the UK and I was the first guy he’d shot with here. I don’t think he had quite realised when he suggested the location of Canary Wharf in London, that it was like the busiest business district in the whole of London and has people buzzing around it everywhere!! All.. The… Time..!!
Either way about five minutes into finding our first location and going over poses they realised they’d forgotten the dance belt they normally use and just edit out later… Sooo there I was, in the busiest business spot in rush hour being given the option to continue naked or to postpone… Next thing you know… I was butt naked in the very freezing cold rain in public posing at about a mile a minute! I think it was funnier as each pose had to be in a completely different part of the location to actually make the final piece. So I remember running about the shop trying to get in every practiced pose while trying to make my face and body not look like I was totally out of my comfort zone!! But I enjoyed being pushed there! And I can now say proudly when I go to meet people after their work “I was soooooo naked.. right there!”
4.What’s your life motto?
“I (or You) could get hit by a bus tomorrow!?!”
I think I use it at least daily if not twice a day to justify nearly everything from spending out on a fancy dinner or drinks that I really shouldn’t, dubious dating decisions, to making some almost certainly questionable life choices! Ha ha!! And if its not me, then its me helping to justify other people’s life choices. Give it a whirl! I can tell you, you won’t regret saying it the second it leave your lips
5.Describe your personal style – Favorite Brands/Fragrance?!
That question could be infinite for me!! My favourite fragrance ever was Gucci Pour Homme II, when they stopped doing it I was devastated, they sell for absolute hundreds now! I found something so similar but equally as unique in King (or K) by Dolce &Gabbana.I don’t even need to recommend it, speaks for itself, I had a friend I was out for drinks with the other day who sent me a message 2 days later when a bottle (which he does not remember buying I might add!) arrived in the post!.. I would say though always Eau de Parfum, lasts longer, who wouldn’t want that
For personal style it varies, when I would younger in my teens I loved a good luxury… essential… if that makes sense. I remember Unconditional; a UK based brand had a store in Covent Garden. I walked in and bought a top for my 21st.Birthday/ They specialised in the high end ‘basics’, hand embellished t-shirts, uniquely sown and shaped shirts and so on. Needless to say I took this £100 embellished top to what ended up being a foam party and to my horror ruined it in a single night… Teenage lesson beyond well learnt!
Nowadays I look to a more sophisticated, smart casual look (or at least I think I do!). I love the ease of a contrasting t-shirt under a suit jacket and trousers, the predictable high neck jumper matched with a suit or just a nice simple shirt and jeans. I almost don’t think the brand matters so much as the fit. There is, to me, nothing less attractive in a man than an ill-fitting shirt!!! There are tonnes of companies now who specialise in only shirts – shirts for every size, shape, arm, neck that you could ever imagine and at the same price a bog-standard high street store. What I mean to say is – There’s no excuse
6.What genre of music best describes you?
Indoors – contemporary jazz, someone like melody Gardot. And by that I mean someone who can sings something sext and yet is also lovely to cook and eat to… if you get my meaning.
Outdoors – absolute anything pop/dance, yes… I am that person.. and no you won’t get me off the dancefloor (just like a drunk mum at a wedding!)
7.Where are your roots – The best thing about/to do in your hometown?
London; I left once for university and once when my mum moved away when I was younger. Nowhere had quite as much to do, friends to make, sights to see. I envy those I know who move around from place to place just so they can make sure they experience the world. To me the risk of spending just one second somewhere not buzzing with life is as risk I’ve never been able to take.
8. Name one celebrity you’d like to get naughty with!
HA HA!! In my younger years… and when he was still modelling Matt Gordon!… I remember trying to get my hair to do that droopy front-of-face sexy thing his did in the Paco Rabanne advert! – I failed MASSIVELY!. My tastes don’t fall far from the tree though now I cant get enough of Ian Somerhalder, its not even the same look, its those eyes – I think he could probably be the least attractive man on earth and still have those ice blue eyes and I just… melt…
9.Do you have any special Talents?
None that I could talk about here! Ha ha!!! I’m just kidding!! I’d say cooking but you’d actually have to come eat it first rather than just trusting me. There’s nothing worse than a man who lies about his talents… Ohhh! I did manage to teach myself how to do the front facing splits during our lockdown last year! It took daily stretching… but now it’s an easy party trick and who doesn’t love a man who can do the splits.. right?
10. What is the most interesting thing online at the moment?
I was at a dinner party with friends the other week, the subject of NFT’s came up. I was clearly ill educated and no clue but they are termed… as I found out that night…. noninterchangeable digital assets, it’s like a digital way to sell a piece of art or an original photo rather than the print. The stories came to a woman who’d manage to sell 4 millon dollars worth of NFT’s of nothing but selfies… I came to think that I own a one off picture of my butt with a collection of heart transfers on it ( you know the kind of transfer that we used to think were tattoo’s when we were younger) that would look perfect on a digital wall for valentines day… no really… I’m not kidding! Ha ha! The story of how they al got there though is another question ha ha!
