ALPINA WATCHES – ALPINER EXTREME AUTOMATIC

The Alpiner Extreme Automatic collection includes four new models in reduced dimensions of 39 x 40.5 mm. This compact and universal format is available with dials in three different colors: turquoise blue, fir green and stone beige with a steel bracelet, the latter version also being offered with a rubber strap. Like its predecessor, the Alpiner Extreme Automatic is still powered by a caliber AL-525. It is waterproof up to 200 m and has a power reserve of 38 hours. A watch that, with its smaller dimensions, gently changes from sporty to sporty-chic.

Their shape is almost square. Or almost round. The iconic Extreme case, which brilliantly combines the smoothness of the perfect circle with the rounded edges of the strong rectangle surrounding it. One thing is certain: With its new, smaller format of 39 x 40.5 mm, the Alpiner Extreme Automatic is more compact and livelier than its big sisters. It can be worn visibly on your bare arm while trekking or discreetly slipped under your shirt sleeve at a business meeting. Even if the mass is reduced, the performance is not. The Alpiner Extreme Automatic is also equipped with Alpina’s sporty DNA. The Alpine symbol of the house is found flush on the dial and on the crown and forms a counterweight to the second hand. So many stylized peaks are reminiscent of the mountains of the Alps where the brand was born. But it would be unfair to limit the Alpiner Extreme Automatic to use only in the mountains. Thanks to the screw-down crown with handle, the timepiece is waterproof up to 200 m for diving adventures and can be worn in fresh or salt water.

With its different versions, the Alpiner Extreme Automatic is suitable for any terrain. The watch is initially available in three models with a steel bracelet. It is securely attached to the wrist with a double folding clasp to withstand all outdoor weather conditions. The first version comes in turquoise blue. Its dial looks like a call to adventure. With its radiance, which is unusual in watchmaking, it exudes the freshness of a mountain lake and invites you to snorkel in the lagoon. The second directly evokes the origins of the house in the Alps with a pine green dial that looks into the mountains. The third version, with a steel bracelet, comes with a beige dial reminiscent of the foothills of the Swiss Alps in summer and the rocky slopes combed by mountaineers. The same dial is also available with a rubber strap in the same color

Sporty, but always chic and eye-catching at the same time: Alpina has provided the case and links with a satin finish. This is a traditional decoration in luxury watchmaking, but also an ideal solution for athletes, as it resists the tiny scratches and knocks in the life of the Alpiner Extreme Automatic and leaves no marks. Only the alignment lines such as the outlines of the bezel, the crown, the case and the outer edges of the bracelet are highlighted by a polished surface. Collectors will also appreciate the polished and hand-applied indexes.

When it comes to the dial, this smaller Alpiner Extreme Automatic also focuses on the essentials: three hands and the date. As with the large-format predecessor model, the whole thing is powered by the proven caliber AL-525, which also guarantees a power reserve of 38 hours. This can be seen through an anti-reflective sapphire back – made from the same sapphire that is used on the dial.
