We’re Allegories, a half-forgotten duo from Hamilton, Ontario, Canada.
2. Please give us an update about – new single, new album, tour dates, new videos?!
We opted to take a good 14 years to deliver our sophomore release – Endless, set for release on April 29, 2022 on Hidden Pony Records.
Having previously shared the singles „Pray“ and „It’s A Parade, we just released a brand new track. „Constant,“ a vocally led steadily, pulsating piece of indie electronic music. It’s a timid diss track to oneself and all that you love that revolves around its refrain yet constantly exploring new vocal modulations and synth tones, „Constant“ wants to be that endorphin rush, that effervescent dopamine surge surrounding you.
3. Name 5 things we all should know about you as an artist?!
1) Both of our albums were made from an improvisational starting point

Our latest single is a softly sung plea to surrender to all the unseen forces.
To beware the sudden nostalgia trips. You’re bound to get lost.
But your platonic ideal might be at your fingertips.
It’s Constant.
Follow a dreamlike cacophonous auditory swirl.
Evolving. Modifying. Ancient rhythmic voltages.
The changes are almost unheard, but always present.
The arpeggiated synths will roll on forever.
It’s Constant.
Constant wants to be that endorphin rush, that effervescent dopamine surge surrounding you.
We are all feeling our way through the dark. Fumbling and failing, but hopeful.
As elastic in our sense of time as we are blissfully fading and forgetting.

Both of us are pretty great summer Tobogganers
7. Being on stage feels like….!
A dream, but one that you’re hyper-aware of. I hope to again wake up in this reverie very soon!
8. How did you learn to sing/ to write/ to play??
Lots of Trial and error. Many days and nights trapped in basements.
No formal training, but thousands of hours exploring songwriting and sonic explorations.
